Youtube is down - Google in technical trouble [again]

Now is fine, we are about to experience another update, 100% sure!

I think indeed their ad revenue went through the roof but their search quality dropped a lot.

If they made 100% of their search into ads, they'd profit billions for one or two quarters, then they'd die. This is an extreme.

What they're doing is making X% into ads and measuring how much shit people will tolerate.
Good point, I think you're right. Same with how many YouTube ads they can have before a video, before people start to get pissed/leave the platform (and/or maybe get YT premium). It's all calculated to make them more money.

Yeah, youtube is a bit slow for me.

I said it before Google is in a financial loss, let’s buy them with DD blessings

Google is a monopoly. One of their major monetizations is AdWords which is a kinda monopoly so no they are exactly not in a loss. Yeah with youtube they are breaking even but not with other things.

YouTube won't ever run of business. As it's considered most reliable streaming platform at zero subscription cost. Vlogging niche is flourishing lately.

Youtube is down and no reaction from the official Youtube account yet.

Google infrastructure is obviously in some shit.

I repeat : since May 2019 they haven't gotten it right. Whatever they did back then was a major league fuckup.

To big a pay check. To little competition. Why would they spend more than necessary to improve their service? They are practically untouchable.

They probably have detailed statistics about this.

If 10% leave and 90% stay for the ads, it means 10% unsatisfied but revenue goes up 40% so fuck it.

They probably do the same with SERPs.

Yeah for sure, that must be the case.

Also if you want to watch YouTube videos now without logging in, you need to click "accept" to some pop up about privacy policy or something, and then wait a few seconds for it to load another pop up asking you to login. Takes an extra 5+ seconds to start a YouTube video if not logged in, I bet they got more people to sign up/sign in with that, which means more money. Before this you could just play the video instantly, without any pop up crap blocking it from playing.

Just conversion rate optimization really, I guess.

"Yo dawg, I heard you like pop ups so we put a pop up over your pop up so you can close pop ups and go f#ck yourself"

Is fine here.

I happen to see somewhere " they put Annoymous image again on youtube? "

I don't know why my recent post get indexed in minutes with all of its images while there are some older posts are skipped for many weeks.

I actually always get this error on my Google Pixelbook for some strange reason, never happens on other devices.

Google seem to have wide spread tech issues, might be far fetched but I actually think it has something to do with Covid. Google appeared to pretty much all go work from home, and since then some of their services have been well, under serviced. Google My Business pretty much stopped working, AdSense stopped approvals, indexing issues.... etc etc.
