Server recommendation for uber-like taxi business

I want to run an uber-like taxi business. What type of server (VPS or dedicated) specs would be recommended for me. Please note that I'm only running it in 5 cities for now. Any ideas how much those servers will cost? Thanks in advance.
NOTE: I'm using PHP + Vue, so I think I'll need very fast cpus.

Really depends on how many customers do you expect, how well is your software optimized and so on. I'd recommend a dedicated server, but can't give recommendation for the exact specs without knowing more about the project.

Get something scalable like aws/digital ocean. You might need load balancers if you use DO (it has inbuilt support for that). Scalability is the biggest factor here, because you never know what it will grow up to. At the same time, there is no need to waste money on buying dedicated machines before you actually receive traffic that makes sense to buy one.

I really don't know much about servers and all (I'm not even the one building the software).
As for customers, I've created awareness and their are not many competitors in my country, so I know customer base is bound to increase over time. I tested the software on a very small vps 2GB ram 2 cores @ 2.5Ghz with this command ab -n 500 -k -c 100 httxx://xxx.xxx.xxx to check for concurrency speed.

What I am looking at is the cost over time. Also, since I don't know much, in my thinking, their will be some downtime if I decided to switch from AWS/DO in the future. But if I run a VPS, I can run clusters with a mix of dedicated servers and vpses. Or am I getting something wrong here?

It depends on the setup, but there should be zero downtime if a migration is done properly. Just make sure that you either do it yourself (seems like you know what you are talking about), or hire someone who knows what he is doing.

Also, if you start with VPS (only); your cost will be low initially. Dedicated server might cost you upwards of $80 per month which is totally unnecessary in the beginning.

As for running load balancer, afaik; you will need to run them from the same network clusters for it to be worth. @feezioxiii might have better idea on this though.

Find a managed provider to help you with this.. since i read you not know how things works contact a serious provider which provide you managed service also.. depends in which cities you want servers you need to find a legit one.. some of below services could help you contact them : mikrovps.net / Undergroundprivate.com (highly recommend and they will be straight to you) / OVH.com is not managed and their support is pretty bad if you face downtime you will await some days to get it fixed..
