Hi everyone, I know from asking and reading replies that backlinks and guest posts can boost traffic a ton but will it keep constant traffic or die out after 7 days? And if so how could I keep constant traffic alive?

It depends on the quality of blog!

If you placed links on low quality / poor metric blogs, then there will be low quality traffic or chance of die out

If you find relevant guest blog based on relevancy, good metrics, traffic, etc.. Then you will get targeted traffic & possibly constant traffic!

It depends on where your link is.

Think about it.

If your link is on a high traffic page, especially if your link is relevant to that page, you will get traffic.
Also, keep in mind that some topics are seasonal, like black friday.

Just like you have to keep on posting your links on social media, the same way goes for most links.

Simply put, as long as the page where your link is has traffic you will get traffic.

Obviously it depends in what page your link is - if is evergreen topic and the page where the link is placed keeps its ranking, then yes - the traffic will be constant. However you cannot really expect traffic from a page "World cup 2006 - today`s results" in 2020...

SEO rankings will most likely last a lot longer than 7 days, even if it's churn and burn stuff. But yes, it can of course tank too for several reasons (more competitors/loosing SEO rank/niche dying out etc).

In my opinion it can be a great source of "constant" traffic.

Yes, it's possible to get constant traffic if the linking site retains its ranking and topically relevant to your niche. Building links from authority site will increase quality traffic.

Thank you all for the help!
It will die out

Links boost rank, rank gets traffic, more high quality links, more chances of rankings provided you satisfy all other rankin conditions

It can be a good source of traffic if you can get the page ranked.

It depends on where you build a backlink . Whether it is in a high authority site or low authority site...

Constant traffic depends on where you put your backlinks. If sites are high authority site and content or niche are ever demanding then you'll get constant traffic from those backlinks. Also, you'll get repeated audiences if your site is informative. :)
