Good idea. So what do you do? Just post articles to your stuff or do you have a community going that posts stuff? It is VERY hard to grow a subreddit from the ground up. What you may want to do is find a subreddit that may have been abandoned that is currently in your niche and request to take over as a moderator. So even though, it won't be your actual brand, you could still use it to post articles, promote your website etc. That is what I had to do.
I post other stuff along with articles to my stuff. More info on abandon subs. If you find one, message the moderators! I did this and just flat out asked him if I could takeover as moderator. He said yes, and made me moderator. And just like that, I had a subreddit in my niche with 12k members! The other one I got, I went through reddit since all the moderators were inactive. It took about a month before they removed the inactive moderators and granted me moderator privileges. That sub has about 3k members. But both are in my niche where I can post articles to my site and I didn't have to spend years building a sub from the ground up.Good idea. So what do you do?
