Apple's M1 chip is insane

Yeah. I watched this event. They claimed really big things. I’ll wait for some real genuine reviews before actually pulling the plug of buying this new macbook pro in april next year.

Marketing 101 for BHW:

What do you do as a marketer when your company's new product has nothing special, and costs a lot higher?

Simple! You don't put any words in the advertisement. Instead say bam ba boom, tra lalalala. Fanboys will buy them anyway..

I fail to understand one thing though. No-one really expects Apple to make gaming rigs and they clearly weren't up to the task this time either. So explain me this: why did they feel the need to include laggy gameplay in the event?

Pretty much this.

While it sounds good, let's wait for some actual, independent reviews instead of marketing bs.

Times are about to come when one might have to trade a kidney in exchange.

Are they shipping laptops with heatsink anymore, or do we have to buy them separately?
Rumours are that Apple would sell ridiculously overpriced parts from chip to charger separately just so users can customize them accordingly. Future is now.

iPhone 12 ships without charger and earpods lol. Scumbags.

Even I don`t like Apple, I never saw such powerful commercials and graphics as they have, even their website looks from the future, really next-level marketing.

If the claims about the chip are true in regards to cpu performance and battery life it will finally be worth the $899 for the Air. Everyone here knows to take what Apple say with a pinch of salt though.

Nice commercial. I hate macs though. See I won't even spell them with capitals.

If the benchmarks are as good as what they claim, I may consider getting a macbook air, since lugging around a gaming laptop isn't that fun and the battery life is miserable.

my only reason for using mac - cannot make ios apps without mac. ios = high paying user base

Truly Wish they were open source :(

Up to 3.5x faster CPU performance, up to 6x faster GPU performance, up to 2x longer battery life. Sounds promising.

Beside the actual improvements, the presentation was great, and for sure got a lot of attention, now I would wait for some benchmarks to see if what they say is true, because it's a big step forward to the next gen and for sure I'll buy even if half of they showed is true.
