Hey Twitter Pros, have you noticed “scheduled“ post kill your tweet engagements?

Each time I use Tweetdeck (Twitter owns them) to schedule a post, the engagement always low.

To schedule tweets you can simply use the built-in scheduler on the web version of Twitter, which is there since the beginning of summer. There's a little calendar icon under the tweets, you compose.

Maybe Twitter prefers manual posting over automated posting.

I'm coupling all of my tweets with posts to IG/FB thru Later... I'll have to reconsider the tactics I guess..

Is it worth it to do anything on Twitter though? From what I've heard as far as social media goes, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are the only ones most people focus on.

Hey yeah, I'd say it's still worth some attention. In terms of traffic quality, I would rate it the lowest of the 4 you mentioned. With that said it's just another traffic source at the end of the day and it won't disappear anytime soon.

So basically, use it, but don't only use Twitter as your main source? I don't have a Twitter set up for any of my brands but I might look into it.

A few actually, self branding, money niche, gaming, etc.

Oh ok! Well yeah, I'd say it's worth it then. It's just another source at the end of the day. If I had to focus on one over the other I wouldn't pick Twitter but if you can manage them all then do it!

It may be about the time of publication. I think you should try it 2 days in a row, automatically and manually in the same time frame ...

Twitter is one of my clients biggest social media, she basically built her whole brand off Twitter.

Twitter is worth it for personal branding.

I will give that a shot!!

I tested one tweet, we tweet that post daily at the same time and the day we scheduled it was the lowest engagement we ever got.

It certainly would make sense if this was the case. People that schedule posts for a month in advance - then not being active at all afterwards would be something they don't want on the platform.

The same tweet can be made from 2 different accounts at the same time ...
