Lets say i have 20 websites in same niche hosted on different IPs (cloudflare), but in same WMT account.
Is good or bad for SEO interlink (backlink) these all sites with each other on homepages only?
Like section "Our sites" or Our friends".

Thanks.

It is bad. Such groups are identified by Google easy. Also wide site links are not recomenned. You can interlink sites with posts but not all to all.

Any other opinions ?

If you have them all under GSC and you interlink them all one of 2 things will happen either they'll consider all those links as one link only or it'll trigger a manual review in which case they'll look and see if the linking is legit or spammy.

Legit linking is like "we're part of X network" type of footer link which builds your brand, giving the site more reputation.

If you interlink just for SEO it's probably gonna hurt more than help.

take a look at amazon.com footer. you will see 40 or so child businesses which they are linking to. while back, childs did have links to each other, but not anymore. only parent (amazon) has links to child businesses. There are no more interlinking between those child businesses. Childs are not even linking back to amazon.com. not sure if this is more of corp brand strategy or part of SEO strategy.

now, if you had 2-3 businesses and you linked together, i would say it is ok. But 20, that is more like you trying to game the system. I would not do it.

I've noticed on some news sites how they work in a PBN way.
They 99% nofollow to not get detected!

Same WMT/GSC? No, don't do that.
Make them look completely un-related to each other (requires effort and money) and then interlink

I have a similar question regarding this:

Let's imagine I have a company that has multiple CCTLDs. Would it still be bad to link in between them?

How many links are we talking here? If there are just few links in the relevant articles then it is fine. If not i would say better to stop doing this in the future.

Is it bad even if its relevant linking? Kinda like you would link internally if the content were on the same website.

Kindly don't do because google punishes. It is better to build high quality back links.

(not sure if the question was directed to me)

It's spread across all the domains through language switchers
