Blog comment ?

So I have like 250 RD on my website, most of the links are contextual and some are profile.. but I'm getting out of links and I see my competitor is ranking with 90% of directory and blog comments backlinks.

Should I place some blog comments? I've never done it before so Im scared not to hurt my site since im building it for more than 6 months now..

Directory is far less sketchy than blog comments.

whats your thoughts on the thing i wrote up? Should I also go after blog comments?
Blog comments havent held weight for a long while. Are you a local business? Affiliate, what type of site are you trying to rank.

Gaming niche(games not gambling)
my competition is with 200-300 RD all directory, blog comments and few niche edits spam sites(2-3).. I placed 250 contextual links and still nothing im stuck on 5-6th position.

You will find your kind of blogs to comment and get the backlink, till that it's fine. But problem happens when that page grows and too many comments crop up. Effectively blog comments becomes a backlink with diminishing returns. Better to spend your time and effort to get a link through some other method which over a period of time will give you more power as that page starts drawing power from main domain and ages up.

Thanks for the reply man, I got it..

Btw why do you think im stuck on 5-6th position even atm I got better and much more backlinks, is it because my site is 6 months and they are there for 1.5 year?
I have 5,000 posts, my home page is ranking for the main keywords for 5-6th place but for the rest of the pages Im all 20+ position, its strange how most of the ranking websites for the (posts) are even without any authority.. Does it take time or since for 6 months im 20+ maybe i fcked up something in the structure?
It's my first website and im a bit nervous and pessimist about ranking it, thats why blog comments came on my thoughts.

If you could answers me this one would be much of help!

Definitely there exists a time factor or age of domain but that's not very important. If you give much more stronger backlinks then you can negate that factor to some extent. What is the rato of various backlinks that your site hold ?

When you say 250 contextual links what exactly do you mean? Pbn? Guest posts (natural or sold)? Niche edits?

Well I got 250 total indexed RD. Most of them are contextual blog posts links, got like 15% profile and 15% web 2.0 and few PDF. Like 80% a gaming related websites, my topical trust flow is gaming as well.

When i check my website on semrush, everything goes perfect, growing for new keywords daily, but as I said posts are 20+ position and home page is stuck on 5-10th position

Will suggest you to build a network of PBNs for yourself and start using them because you will need them when your site starts climbing up. The climb up is steep so it will need more power with each spot up.

Well i tried to look for buying a guest posts, I'd rather pay more when its safer than pbn, my friend got burned from pbn.. But so hard to find nowadays good websites. Most of them offering me 7k RD and 0 traffic on the website..

No, u got to build it yourself or get into a high quality result oriented private network, but they are not cheap.

Blog commenting would help but not that much.. It could be used for tier2, tier 3 links

Blog commenting will help to rank but use low competitive keywords
