Ah, only technically correct. What prevents lawsuits from going through against the tech giants is section 230 of the CDA, a law that insulates them from liability. But what stops politicians from simply repealing section 230 given all the complaints, as it has repealed most of the rest of the CDA? Influence from the CIA and other alphabet agencies of the swamp. The Deep State owns most of the pols, so the pols don't change the law.

Section 230 was already amended in 2018, and with the proposed Earn It Act of 2020, it may get amended again. The reason why it hasn't been removed completely already is because there's going to hundreds of millions spent lobbying by tech and media companies.
