[Method] Monetize Medium.com with expired content / YouTube transcriptions - or use it as a platform to post affiliate products

Congrats and thanks for sharing your method!

Can you share with us some insights?
Like how much do you make per month on average?
How many posts have you created?
What niches are working best?

thanks

Around 240 Posts
Highest month earning was like $350 - Seem to get more views and claps posting consistently.
Don't want to give away my niches, but I've done well with healthy food.

You seem to target really low search volume keywords then. Your lifetime is 500$ with 240 posts? That's on average 2$/post and you've done it for 6-8 months.

Kind of bad, I'll be conducting a case study on the subject though so perhaps you should follow that :D

Interesting post none the less. Great work!

Find expired domains in your chosen niche - use wayback machine, get content and paste into medium. Fix it up a little, pictures and tags.
Get content from Youtube Video transcriptions. Fix it up a little using Grammerly / any plagiarism checker.
And? How to earn money off that?

Yes but I didn't promote many of these posts, just kinda kept adding. They are hit or miss going viral.
This was along side the world going to crap during the pandemic, working a crappy job at amazon and trying to learn full stack web dev through team tree house.

I've "sorta" been doing this, mostly with YouTube transcriptions. It's gotten me lots of views, though no money, I'm still not sure how the monetization works on Medium.

They need to select your articles. Something like that

Started this yesterday as well because it’s so easy. Got .9 cents with only 1 view. Today I got more than 20 views on my two articles but no more money.
However, medium doesn’t allow to post more than 2-3 stories a day. That’s sad :D

I see this method as a win-win since you can link to your website in each article you post on Medium.

Extra $? Even better!

That means it's working! $0 * 100 views = $0 Or even bigger: $0 * 1000 = $0

I envy you.

Can I use VPN because it is not available in my country?

True but like I said, I got more views but no more money but maybe the earnings only update once a day.

Sorry for noob question, but I don't know nothing about medium, these expired domains, we need them to bring traffic to our articles, is that correct ?

Thank you
Isn't that too much though for .. that few reads?

I've just tried this. The first story I published got removed by Medium because I used two images from Google so I wrote the exact same article without using images from Google and so far it seems ok.
