Websites Are Detecting I Am Using Proxy!? Feel like I wasted money :(

Hello everyone. I purchased a "fresh" datacenter proxy from IP Burger. They are supposed to have zero abuse. I went to check if there is abuse on this website and it shows my proxy is highly suspicious. Also it detects that I am on a proxy. If it is this easy to detect I am on proxy, then how will this work with websites like Amazon? I plan to use this on Amazon. Should I opt for residential proxies instead? Thanks for the help guys

Residential proxies would be better for something like AWS
 
Most datacenter ip's are known.

AWS for instance publically state all their IP ranges.

If i want real human traffic I'm going to block all data center IP's, least make it more expensive for spammers.

Some residential proxys can be found as well by portscanning although this is considered offensive and may do more harm than good to a site.
 
Datacenter proxies are not that good from what i understand, residential or mobile.
Whats that site, looks useful? there is no way to signup to qualitys*ore dot com

Hey guys going to bump this with a new question: So I purchased a high quality 4G proxy from luminati. Tested it for abuse and it is 100% clean. They can't even tell it is a proxy I am on. But here is a new problem. When I google "what is my location" some websites show the proxy location (NY), but some websites are showing my REAL location (Florida). Will this be a problem for using proxies on Amazon/Paypal? If so, how can I fix it? Thank you.

The majority of proxy resellers and VPNs are going to be detected.

It's because a lot of them just buy cheap VPS and then spin up a VPN on them, sharing the IP with hundreds if not thousands of other users. If they do spring for dedicated IP, it gets burnt by their own users. Other proxy sellers might use scanning - where they're exploiting an open or infected computer to relay your data - this is super illegal and also not reliable since when the computer turns off, it stops all connections.

Residential proxies are the "new fad" - because they're basically mobile hotspots. The downside is that it's slow and the pool of available IPs is also quite limited because the mobile devices aren't moving around so they connect to the same cell towers, which means it's pulling from the same range/subnet of IP addresses.

Your best bet is to pay $5 and get a VPS, spin up your own proxy on the VPS & pay an addition $15 for a dedicated IP address that hopefully hasn't been used before (you can always contact the VPS and ask for a new one to replace it). Your total investment is $15-20/month - but it will ensure you have a clean IP until you ruin it lol.

I purchased from luminati. I got a 4G private proxy which means nobody else has access. I think this is the best available online. I tested for abuse and came back 100% clean. Plus it is not even detected as a proxy! But it is expensive as hell. Here is my problem. Would appreciate your advice on this:

There's different types of proxies - some will retrieve a site, but still forward your IP on. It could be that the proxy was set up to do this. More likely, your browser is leaking your IP through WebRTC - there's plugins to disable it.

thanks for this! With a high quality 4G proxy + this plugin, should I be good for most things online? I just want my indian friend to manage my amazon profile. That is really it.

hmmm so pretty confusing. Even with this plugin and the highest quality proxy available, some google results are showing my real location. I wonder if I am stressing about something that doesn't even matter for amazon. Do you think this matters?

(My proxy IP is consistent everywhere and works. Just the location is off on some sites)

It means something is leaking your location in the browser - it could be you have location sharing enabled for Google, where it has access to your GPS to triangulate your location.

Run incognito mode and ensure your location sharing is disabled.

There's a million variables in hiding your privacy - including browser profiling (where every browser + plugins + hardware specs makes it possible to fingerprint users even if they're hiding behind a proxy or VPN. For Amazon purposes, you can just use a VPN with a non-chromium browser like Firefox and put it in incognito mode and disable all location sharing/webrtc to patch the leaks and that should be good enough for basic managing of an Amazon account w/a clean/private proxy.

yes i think geolocation is the issue. I don't plan on abusing the IPs. It will be clean and legal work only. Thanks for the help. Geolocation seemed to fix it
