Help me in my niche selection

I am asking for advice from adsense experts here.

I am currently working on a niche site, which is around the " keto diet".
Recently, I reached a content writer to get an article done on one of the keywords.
She pointed out to me that, google adsense is not compatible on the above niche, after recent google updates.
If anyone can enlighten me, I would be grateful.

You may still get buried but for other reasons

I'm new to blogging with only 100 days experience. What I generally hear is health and finance niches with a new domain is generally difficult to rank unless you are going for low competition long tail keywords

Thanks for the reply. It clarified the things to some extent.

My intent was to approach this site as a micro niche site targeting long tail keywords and then build it up.

If it needs legit authority back up, I suppose I would have to deviate and put an extra effort into building the authority.

Google is nowadays very sensitive to health matters. Even issues concerning the pandemic should be handled with care. Since your niche is health-related or promising some health benefits to your audience, you will need to work hard on the Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness. You need experts linked to your blog. And quality backlinks from trusted sites. You need to quote and reference trusted sources.

If you browse keto diet sites you will find adsense ads.

What she meant is : YMYL niches are harder to get approved in.

But if it's quality content, no problem to get approved in the future IMO.
