So im learning blender right now but my computer is kind now low while running the software, im looking to upgrade my cpu and it is kind of hard to choice between :
i9 with 10 cores 5.3 ghz
3950x with 16 cores 4.7ghz
somepeople says i9 is better others says 3950x is better im confused now!!
any usefuul info or if someone have tried both and saw difference please share .
thank you.

both are really great cpus! I know amd's new cpus had some better results on different benchmarks than the intel processors. If i were you, go with the new amd cpu's and go with nvidia for the gpu's, cant go wrong with that combination

thats an amazing combo youll be really satisfied with that! And yes those sold out sooo fast! if I were you, get that combo now, and just save up for the 3000 series when they are back in stock, becasue the 2080ti will perform very well in any game you throw at it, especially with that insane cpu!

im afraid that rtx 3070 will surpass the rtx 2080ti that will hurt me a lot
since this combo is costing me now 3500euro

knewing that
rtx 3070 is 519 euro and rtx 2080 ti cost 1400euro big difference

Definitely 3950x. The extra core will help you to render faster.

And to squeeze out maximum output from it, get an RTX 3080.

I was one of those people that always aim for high/best possible equipment for PCs.
A few years ago I was going to buy a new graphic card and already got the money ready for a new GTX 980 or 990, not sure exactly.
Seller look at me and told me, "do you REALLY want to pay $800 for a graphic card?"
I was like wtf, isn't on you to take my money and shut up? lol
He told me to take AMD Radeon R9 380 4GB Series - Which btw cost me more than a half of the price for 980/990!

To this day... I'm still using this card and I have no damn words!
I don't have plans to change it soon, I don't need to.

I want to say that, depends on what you need but, you don't need to go for the expensive crap to get a "good PC".

yea that is true, well if thats the case, then just wait until the 3080 or 3070s are back in stock!

i agree, but it depends on your neds, so far rx580 was doing well for me until i sterted with blender training , for the first time i feel my setup is too slow while rendering and working on some test

yes the problem the providers in my country said that the 3080 will not be available until the end of december
that too much time for me to wait.
and i heard that rtx3080 have some issue im not sure but alot of suplliers confirmed that .

Probably wait for the Ryzen 9 5950X. Prices of 3950x will also go down soon.

10900k is probably slightly better for gaming but it runs incredibly hot will less cores.

they didnt add much difference just changing the frequency to 4.9 if if im not mistaking, and maybe they will run out of stock, but im sure the price of 3950x will drop, i will consider that (y)

You are mistaken

Only intel fanboys would say that, you cant discuss with benchmarks and benchmarks show amd is killing intel.

Also if you are interested in one thread performance (for gaming) - Ryzen 5600x is killing all intel CPUs in one thread performance.

Wait for till ryzen 5 arrive, take a look at tests, benchmarks etc, make your choice.

no im not funboy of any hahah but yes amd is doing great job there, i guess i will wait for amd that way i will not think changing the cpu for at least 5 yers:)
about gpu did amd anounce anything?

They will on 28th this month, leaked info about performance looks promising but this leaks can be fake, we dont know pricing, leakded tests were performed on engineering samples, production samples should have better performance.
