Best free contorl panel for VPS?

Hello ,

I come from years of using cpanel webhosting but now i will be switching to vps for some of my projects and i dont want to spent the extra cash for cpanel .

Can anyone suggest any good free alternatives for someone familiar with cpanel ?

In last case: ISPManager only 4€ month!! Very good panel, is only 4€, you have also DirectAdmin one of good alternative of CPanel

Forget VestaCP, is not regulary updated, you can be in trouble.

So just to clear something out CyberPanel is not really free if you have more than 2GB ram .

Also some panels like ISPconfig are missing filemanager fucntionality / multi-php selector etc .

Looks like the more complete one is Virtualmin ?

It depends. I had Virtualmin and ISPconfig seems more user friendly. It does not have file manager, but it has multiple PHP selector. Also it is easier to manage domains and emails.

Virtualmin is a good free alternartive. Also check with your vps provider sometimes they give you control panels for free or at discounted rates. Cpanel is way too over priced specially ever since they started charging for each account

Tried Cyberpanel , looks good so far for 100% free , missing a few stuff like catchall email addresses and softaculus features like backup installations etc .

I will also test aapanel and see .

VestaCP is not secure anymore, don't use free panels when they aren't update since a long time ago! Is dangerous and they can hack your server.

There is a fork of "VestaCP" but with updates: https://github.com/hestiacp/hestiacp < HestiaCP based on "VESTACP"

I see that not all panels support openlite speed which seems to be the fastest option out there . Cyberpanel is a good one that does and also aaPanel .

Anyone bought DirectAdmin and can comment on it?
