Let's assume that, on average, 1 person generates 7 pageviews.

Let's suppose the CPM is $3.5 (US, UK, AU, tier 1) (not using Google Adsense).

Let's say I'm using Facebook Ads and each person (click) costs $0.015.

So: I would need 142 people (1000/7) to reach $3.5. I would spend $2.13 (0,015 * 142) with FB Ads to get 142 visits on my site. So it's a profit of $1,37 every thousand pageviews.

For every 1000 pageviews = $1.37 profit

Let's suppose I invest $500 a day in FB Ads.

$1,37 * 500 = $685 (Net Profit)

Do I miss something?

What are the risks of being banned? And what are the chances of this analysis becoming real?

For one your numbers are a little optimistic and two it’s not as stable as your post would imply. Read journeys of people making quiz sites and you will see that many times it’s just luck that their site blows up and other times they get nearly no traffic at all. There certainly is money to be made but it doesn’t come without work

I read the journeys, most people use free traffic or invest little in FB Ads. The big question is what would happen if someone tried to invest really high.

The tendency is to get cheaper and cheaper clicks with the pixel warmed up.

About CPM, I'm not sure if $3.5 is optimistic, pessimistic or normal for tier 1.

You expect FB ads penny clicks to:

a) cost you a penny and a half every time
b) be high quality traffic with 7 pages/session on average for every person

I think it is too optimistic, 7 page views per user is quite a bit and cpm of 3.5$ is also quite high, why don't you make some tests and find out for yourself?

I will probably try in the next few days
A catchy test gets more than 7 pageviews for what I read

That CPM is way too high. Each ad unit will have its own CPM, but expect overall CPM (all units combined) to be wayyyyyy lower, especially mobile, maybe 0.60-$1.50. And CPM is per impression, not pageviews. 1 page view could get you multiple impressions if you have multiple ad units. Again, expect your overall cpm to be way lower. It can work, yes, and 7 page views per user is really low, quizzes get way more. That CPC for Facebook ads is not very realistic for tier 1.
Overall, yes, it can work but takes lots of optimization, it's not as simple as it sounds. In conclusion, your numbers are way too optimistic, except for the page views per session, which is low.

I will consider this... really good insights

The problem is the Facebook Ads always cost more than you could expect.

The biggest problem is attracting people who are not interested in responding to the quiz

But the price of clicks tends to decrease more and more if you invest high every day, the pixel will stay warm and will know which people to reach

1. On average, if you have a decent quiz I would say you could get around 15 pageviews per session.
2. CPM rate is not going to be that high. 75% of my traffic comes from the US and I have an average CPM rate of $0.5 with header bidding set up and using big networks/exchanges such as ADX, AppNexus, etc. Plus it sounds like you don't have a quiz website yet, so you're earnings will be much lower per session since you'll have to work with lower quality networks that don't pay as much.
3. You also need to take into consideration the viewability of your ad units as well as the fill rate.

So I definitely think you're being a bit optimistic with these calculations.

Well what would happen if you invest really high is that you'll quickly run out of capital, if you don't have too much to invest. Most ad networks/exchanges have a payment schedule of N30 to N60.

For example, let's say you work a network with an N60 payment term. Let's say you earn $100 in October. You won't get paid these earnings until the beginning of Janurary. So this is definitely something else to keep in mind.

The best thing is to try! Here is some practical numbers: Let's say you have 4 ad units per page: One of them is the top-performing has an average CPM of $1.20 , Second $0.50 , Third one $0.55, and the last one is a poor performing sticky unit $0.25 ...

Your overall CPM would be $0.62

Now let's suppose you are paying 0.02 per click and each user goes through 12 pages on your quiz.

12 pages x 4 impressions per page = 48 impressions per session

If your overall cpm is 0.62, 1 user aka 48 impressions would bring 0,029

We paid 0.02 and every user is returning 0.029 , 45% of ROI per user.

That's also being VERY optimistic with CPMs and FB ads CPC. But on the bright side, you could potentially have the users visit way more pages per session increasing the impressions
I'm no expert, but I've been playing with arbitrage for almost a year, pretty sure my math here is correct though. :p o_O

Still the ONE thing I can see " might can possible like this " is the last IM product i get but sadly can't use due to Twitter ban the API
it literally just site , a page to let twitter users put in their twitter account and see how much it worth

yes it " sound stupid " but it really go viral , I inject that with adsene , that is REALLY no work involve just promote that page if u want to earn more let it go viral
I still remember the feeling is dam good, every single day come adsense earnings from just 1 dollar next day 5 dollar , following day 10 dollar and so on
the highest before get ban by twitter is 70++ per day

if twitter never get , i can sure by now I not shock one day can get at least 100 min constant , highest might be no limit as it keep go viral at twitter.

just look at twitter how many people there and tweet too daily retweet

come Quiz the concept it the same , Viral is the key but problem Quiz, there are many Quiz site some is good , some is bad
I do wanna do Quiz in line with a site together but I bad in creating one ,

I happen to see one interesting Quiz site , they seem " trying to capture emails for their marketing as usual " they will not directly let u take part the Quiz ironic is you must input email than can access
I saw that is due to their pay ad on FB , so I go check it

Above all, social media traffic click through is very sketchy, they may go both ways but still you will not understand why its happening. Then again, without putting some things into action, what can we know

I think you can always test with a smaller budget,
start with $10 per day for example and see how much can you get as profit,
if it's a good deal, you can scale it up to the big numbers

You can make the users have to share the quiz to see the result so u can generate more ad more views :)

FBAds cpc is totally unpredictable. I suggest you try it out with a lower threshold like $50/day and see if it resembles your revenue plan.
