Reselling second hand clothes - anyone?

Recently, a friend of mine, bought a couple of female clothes (shirts, jeans, shoes) and made bundles out of them.
She posted these bundles in a couple of facebook groups and in a matter of a day, she made 4 sales.
This got me thinking of doing the same thing.
Does anyone has similar experience with reselling second hand clothes?
Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Have a friend selling vintage brand clothes and makes a fulltime income doing it.

You do have to know what's hot and not though. If you're not into fashion - it won't be for you.

FYI; Certain Polo/Tommy Hilfiger vintage jackets are 500$+ and can be found at places like Goodwill and other thrift shops. There is tons of money to be made. Not even mentioning vintage rap tees, those can range in the thousands...

Clothing it's all about the photo. So you need to get some decent lighting, clean and iron the thing and stage the shot correctly. I think that's the difference between make money and not when it comes to clothing.

A friend of mine buys clothing from second hand shops or charity shops normally goes looking for branded kids wear and sells that online makes a decent second income out of it.

Retail arbitrage can make some nice money. But you have to put in a lot of work to find good deals. It's even possible to do it first new clothes, not just second hand. But as I said you need to have some knowledge about brands and fashion in general.

It's good for some pocket money side gig income. Not a scalable business though. Not something you could scale with systems.

Do it to get some savings, but nothing beyond that. You just got this one life. Why not build something big instead of spending precious time on a business that will get you some immediate cash now, but can't compound over the years with your effort?

It's about getting some starting capital.

You just need to take good pictures. Good lighting and some editing.
And start selling them in eBay

Be aware guys, selling clothes online needs to be done in a proper way, or you risk being accused of tax evasion, too many traces left behind.

you can buy shipping containers of clothes in bulk paying per kilo. you can get a lot of branded HQ almost new clothes or you can get total garbage - that's a lottery, but chances of winning are big.
you can do the same with shoes.

not dropshipping !
not necessarily from china but yeah; you buy a whole container of clothes, you wash them (if you get a good deal you can get them sanitized with papers already), prepare for selling, go to the nearest market and sell them.

ye it depends on the market you are living in but that's working in some areas. and it is working big time

It is totally up to you to whom you gonna sell it. But women clothing tho usually is majority.

You can make good money if you sell high quality brands, maybe even luxury brands
