What make a person introvert ?

Not By Birth.
But through various life experiences.

Many different things. It is never just "one thing" which makes a person introvert.

Here are just a few:

- Job, income and status (its lonely at the top)
- Education (if you are so much smarter than anyone around you)
- Mentality & mindset (don't get involved with negative people or someone who wants to drag you down)
- Experience (if you made a bad experience with people around you)
- Society (if you don't feel like a part of the society you life in)
- Parents/Growing Up (if your parents are introvert themselves or they taught you this kinda behavior)
- Personality disorders (being a psychopath, traumas, narcisstic, etc.)
- Personal problems (no self confidence, being overly shy, not being outgoing, anti-social person)
- Different views on this (for example on politics, race, work, taxes, sports, etc.)

This is one of those nature vs nurture gotcha thingy, I didn't realized that earlier.

For me it's due to life situations like depression, lack of confidence in yourself, guilty of being judge by others of how you look etc.

I didn't read your post or any of the replies
it's genetics. accept it. stop trying to change yourself. stop thinking there is something wrong with you. you are an introvert, the next guy is an extrovert. nothing wrong with either.

Reading the lounge at weekend.

People mix up introvert with shy. They are two different things.

Introvert people need to be alone by themselves to replenish their energy when they are tired.

Extroverts need to be around people to replenish their energy when they are tired.

Understand what you are and give yourself what you need to thrive. If you are introvert don't use as an excuse to not putting yourself out there and meeting people. Just allow yourself some alone time.

You are right in all these but genes plays it out most. And should be number 1 in the list

By birth and your surrounding people plays an important role. When you are rich, everyone will praise you and you will never feel introverted and will express whatever comes to your mind.
So there are many factors that play an important role.
