How do I find Keyword Difficulty To Rank?

What is the best way to quickly find how hard it would be to rank for a specific group of KW's - preferably a quick and programmatic way. Example ranking for "dog eats tangerine while on a unicycle" is easier than "car insurance USA". If I have a list of 1000 possible KW's how would I give them scores of difficulty as quickly and non-manually as possible - fine paying for tools.
