Can we Rank Without Backlink if Content is Extremely Powerful ?

From my experience, I am with the 50% content 50% linkbuilding. But I truly believe if UX is getting more relevant for Google's algorithm, content will be more powerful eventually.

The more the time people spend on your content the better. So if they stay on your content more thats a strong point for ranking.

To get people to spend time on your content, you need to rank it.

As other suggested, you might rank for low difficulty kwd.

But for other kwds, forget it. You need power of links to get ranking.

Heyaaa yasss!! there are a few ways through which you can rank yourselves without any backlinks.

1. Try to add some value. let the searchers be satisfies .
2. Find low volume keywords.
3. Get customer reviews to make improvements.
4. Try to earn citations and mentions.
5. Why not evaluate your competitors on page SEO strategy? lol

Yess, google ranks authority sites more! Your website must have High DR and DR increases with powerful links linking to your posts.

This is just untrue. DR is a third party metric by Ahrefs based on what they think are important ranking factors for Google. Google doesn't give any weight to these third party metrics and definitely doesn't use them to rank sites

I think he meant that google looks at high quality links coming at your website.

Maybe if you target a long tail keyword that gets 50 searches a month and has zero competition then yes.

if your content really make others " share it and put your link in their site " yes so call FREE vs paid guest post.

But they put follow or non follow link is another question.

OP, the answer is YES YOU CAN

Here's how

1) Try to DOUBLE the word count of your TOP competitor or stick to 2000+ words (assuming your competition is below this)
2) Be more THOROUGH with your content - better to focus on a sub-topic an INCH WIDE but DRILL MILES DEEP than a SUPERFICIAL article on a BIG topic
3) Don't just offer text - include pics, infographics (if available), video (you can use a video maker and post on Youtube)
4) Target HIGH BUYER INTENT KEYWORDS - these would make it worth it

Yes, for few keyword types. You don't need powerful content tho. You need what searchers wants. I have been ranked many pages without backlink.
