Suggestion: A subforum for SAAS

I think we need a subforum to discuss SAAS.

Many of us have read the pinned thread of @splishsplash. Many here share that sentiment.
Some of us are working on SAAS and many others are interested in this.

There are many areas to discuss in this type of business.
(Ideas, Tech stack, No code, a/b testing, funding, marketing, acquiring customers, support, landing page, launching, UI/UX, etc)

Even as an MIT here, I go to other communities to discuss these, and that's not good

Just tagging few users I've come across interested in this to support this thread

As an MIT, I could have made my case directly to the mods/admins. But I figured I'd open a thread here and see the response of members.

I recently sold an entry-level SAAS website and the potential interest for it was much higher than those for Amazon affiliate or other types of websites.

Would love to be able to discuss and see SAAS-related goldmine threads on BHW too.

Yeah this is a great idea.

While building a large multi-million SaaS company is a hard thing, there are countless opportunities to build small micro SaaS businesses targeting niches. This is the key for people. To look at 8 and 9 figure figure SaaS companies and ask "Is there a small subset of their users that aren't happy and need something tailored just for them".

I'm currently working fulltime at a startup-like saas company as software designer, but I'm not 100% sure if I see the need for such a subforum. In the end, it's still software - just a specific way of delivering it and we already got a dev subforum where you could discuss tech etc.

Marketing, acquiring customers,... - the methods you are gonna use are not exclusive to saas. But I agree that I wouldn't know where exactly to post a thread about saas marketing in BHW's current state.

Landing pages, UI/UX - I would rather think about renaming the web design forum to something more broad but again it's nothing exclusive.


Not saying I'm against this suggestion, just not a fan of too many small subforums - maybe we could just alter what we have so that saas fits in better?
