Hello Ladies and Gentlemen

As you can see I've been a long time lurker and seldom poster.

I've just gotten a great opportunity, in that the company I work for acquired an online casino that has been basically dormant.

I've basically been placed in charge of reactivating all our traffic acquisition efforts, so I thought it might be of interest to some people.

I'll be happy to supply evidence to the mods, and answer questions and all that.

Best!

Just curious to know more. Starting with why Casino companies pay $500-$1000 for a single backlink. :)

Barely any webmaster wants to link out to a casino site from a site with good stats. Next to that the affiliate earnings on online casinos are insane. Some companies offer like $500 when someone deposits $1k, and the others pay you a percentage of what they lose for a lifetime. $500-$1000 is nothing for a company in that side of business. I've been offered $400 for a niche edit on one of my websites, which barely gets any traffic and has low stats. It's just a bit related to their niche.

Hey, thanks all for the kind words of encouragement!

Basically, because it's one of the most competitive niches out there (besides insurance, finance, FX, etc.) Nothing new there.

One of the biggest lead generation companies, http://www.catenamedia.com for example, charge $150 CPA on a $20 deposit threshold for example.

Right now I'm focusing on getting new affiliates on board and just getting traffic.

Medium-term I'll start focusing on organic reach.

Here's a snapshot of the past 6 months:

That's basically the game itself. Search for pages that target your geos/kws/affinity.... and then try whatever means to contact them and get your listings on their site for hopefully a decent rev share :)

Interested topic, Because i am also working (SEO) for few customer sites that doing online casinos.

Well, agree with that. $750 is the max I have got for a single link on a sitting duck website.

So it's been an interesting month. Affiliates really rule the game, and it's a battle since the player values aren't there that much anymore and people still charge 200cpa with no real basis or incredibly SH#*T sites.

I'm basically just acquiring traffic in any way I can. Fortunately we do have the resources to pay all affiliates and spend on marketing, but wow is there a lot of chaff. I've been most of my career in the b2b side so seeing the b2c has been super interesting.

Good luck for this journey dude !

I'm also working in the online gambling industry for few casino brands so I know how hard it can be. Don't give up and keep in mind that the more your brand grows, the less affiliates have power !

Lovely journey! Keep it up.

Working with two dozen brands in Asia at the moment. As competition increases, more and more online casino enters the industry, the tried and tested way to succeed is to focus on branding first.

Conversions with Facebook ads and AdWords is equally as important to keep the business afloat with FTD and registrations. Once you've got the ball rolling a little, start investing in low hanging fruits for SEO. Only once you're balling, start bidding on high competitive KW.

Let's get that bread!

Cool post, totally interested in knowing how your journey this year is going, given the circumstances with the pandemic. How are your KPIs working, any new strategies deployed you wanna broadly share? Either way, best wishes and keep the hard work, I know it's not easy.

Good luck with your journey! I own a website that helps promote online casinos and I can verify that the competition is EXTREMELY HARD to rank against. There are some sub niches in the casino niche though, which are easier to rank for.
