How to outrank weak competitiors?

Hi everybody!
I've found an interesting competitor in my niche. He got decent traffic with 0 DR and only 90 backlinks. All the pages on that site are product pages with an amazon product description about 300 words.

So, my questions are:
1)Does description uniqueness and volume really matters?
2) When should I build backlinks to my pages?
3) Do you have any tips that will help me to outrank that site?

First question is how old is your site? If your site is over a year old and have some good DA yourself Then chances are all you need to do is fix your onpage SEO. Add some content and in time Google will pick the link up. Or you could do one or two links and some social post.

If you have a new site as well then you will need to put a little work into it.

I have new site on custruction stage. Maybe you could advice me what should be my priority on first step?

You sure he got only 90 links? Trust me, now a days competition seems weak, but the reality is different. Try to optimize and build some links to see if you can outrank that site.
