Hey

So I have an amazon site, it's getting about 10 or so visits a day with 2 buyer posts on pos 1-3, and a couple of other posts on page 1, but my conversions are a joke.....zero sales and 118 clicks over the month. I think I'm the only person in the world with such a shtty conversion rate from amazon.

The pages are getting traffic, and people are clicking through but they aren't buying. The items are not expensive either, under $30.. I thought the content was ok but they must absolutely suck.

I'm in the DJ niche, don't care I outed my niche, not getting sales anyway so I don't care.. I'm just asking if someone can take a look at the posts and tell me if anything glaringly obvious is wrong and WHY aren't people buying! I'm really getting used to seeing zero sales when I check amazon every day.

Rather show via pm

Can anyone help out a fellow bhw'er? Preferably jr vip..

Cheers

The whole 118 clicks... I really don't know why you didn't get 119 sales.

Are you just presenting items they can buy, or are you describing to them how your item can help them?

If there is no urgency or anything that shows that it will help them, why would they buy it?

I'm going to go on a limb and say your likely presenting simple amazon products and just writing about it and that's it. You need to specify how this item will help the user that is looking for something similar. Will it make them a better DJ, will they sound better? etc.

Ha, just 1 sale would be good considering they are mostly coming from review articles.

depending on a product (and the way your site looks) it's easy to get 0 sales from thousands of clicks.

Hey Amphoric, thanks man. You're probably right there. Do you mind if I pm you?

Yeah understand, the site looks good, and product is good but maybe it's the way I'm presenting it.

Honestly, 118 clicks isn't that much. The good thing is that you're getting visitors to your page which allows you to drop the cookie. I don't know that I'd put all my eggs in one basket simply driving the traffic to amazon. I'd diversify it and apply to some other programs with a longer cookie that may open a longer window for a better possibility of getting the conversion.

One month is nothing. Amazon gives you 180 days to get sales, so you still got time. In your review articles add some comparision tables or top 10 listings. Check your competitors for design ideas and copy them. Otherwise patience is a virtue.

Thanks, I actually have other affiliate programs I'm promoting on the site, but really need more traffic to see how well it performs. Ads will be added too once traffic is up a bit more. I definitely don't want to rely just on Amazon.

I have Amazon sales from my other sites (using native ad placements) so don't need to worry about the 180 days. I checked out competitors and modeled their ideas.

I got my writer to re-write the article and he did an awesome job at angling it. He said the article was well written but it sounded too good to be true for a $30 item. Like it was as good as if not better than high-end items.

Will see how it goes.

Glad to see that you have a plan and that you are diversifying. Too many people lean on one program when ultimately "best practice" is to have at least 3 to 4 to diversify the income streams.
