There are some really illogical policies. Younger children not needing a mask, but older children needing one is another crazy one for me, when the age ranges mix in a school and then mix again out of school.

The issue is that there aren't many options for stopping the virus spreading through the population. Either everyone quarantines themselves, or a vaccine is discovered and produced in sufficient quantity to immunise the entire population. Governments are trying to control the speed of infection, not prevent infection, because quarantine isn't a solution - its just an unsustainable stop-gap.

The bus my son uses once a week (will be today) his bus has all under 11 kids on it he is 5... the bus driver is not wearing a mask because the kids don't have to. That's his logic. I'm not an anti or pro mask. But I did and am considering questing him later why he isn't wearing one. IF it's a medical condition then:

- why are you driving a school bus full of kids who could become infected at any time
- is your medical condition safe for you to drive school kids to school considering your bus is a massive tank if anything was to happen to you.

I wear half a face mask with M3 filters I get some strange looks but at least it's not made of curtain fabric... I could go out in a full face mask but choose not.

I think the entire government UK (don't know about other countries so cant comment) needs to start doing public announcement messages on ALL TV stations, radio and internet banner ads including social media.

BUT MY BIGGEST ISSUE

2. How to wear a mask. Mask over the nose and not the mouth, over the mouth and not nose does f*ck all. Taking the mask off to talk in shops etc.

I don't get how hard it is to produce a few graphics, after all, they are dropping money on fake PPE grants like no tomorrow but hiring a graphic design studio seems out of the question.


Fully understand it's about controlling and or slowing the rate of infection but having no clear guidelines and letting each part of the UK make up its own rules is just as mad. UK gov needs to draft a bill, tell each of the nations to shut the fuck up they have control for now and go from there life in the UK would be so much easier.

A while ago someone told me that even after 14 days a covid recovered patient contains virus for 10 more days, which is dead inside them but becomes live within us. I laughed at this theory but recent events in my society and in known circle has confirmed this. So remember do not meet a covid patient even after the 14 meet him or her after 30 days. of course it’s painful to stay away from friends, hospitals but it is what is, laugh, ignore your wish.

Some very influential people downplayed this and told people to go outside. A lot of people lost their lives because they believed this BS.

We still see this crap being said here and there. IMO it should be criminal to downplay this virus.

I know several people who died. Not direct family thank God but close friends family.

Two of the people who I have word died in my city were athletes. So that bullshit about sports protecting you isn't entirely true.

The virus is all about statistics. It WILL kill a certain % regardless if it's athletes or bums. The more people take care of themselves, the less will die.

My friend got positive, after 12 days passed in hospital he return home.. few days later all other member of his home get positive. This virus really sucks!

If you had two virus which are EXACTLY the same one is type A one is type B but type B came with another symptom then you can use the data from type A to do some kind of prediction model based on effects, causes, deaths and so on.

You are trying to compare the common cold in effect to cancer.

This new virus has nothing to do with the death rate. It's about the rate of infection. If 100,000 people had it and had no symptoms passed that onto 5 people they knew you now go another 500,000 infected.

You can shut down towns, infrastructure, food, shops, hospitals with those kind of numbers. THATS the issue not "death". Imagine your local supermarkets in the area close down. Because all the staff are off sick at the same time, that's OK you will go to the next town. Now all of a sudden the shops in that town have to supply the local residents as well as an influx of people they can't cater for, then you have pressure build up in a small area just on food as an example I'm not even gotten onto hospitals.

You multiply that over and over in different locations and regions and that's when you have the starts of the problem. THATS the issue with this virus.

Some people I know couldn't do as much as stop going to the pub. It was an ultimate sacrifice not drinking every single day of the week for some.

School started full time this week for my daughter. She done 3 days last week and 1 day the week before.

The weekend just gone, someone in her class-tested positive for it they got the results at 645pm on a Monday night (we know as we know the chlds family from birthdays so they sent out a Whats app message to all the mums who chat) school issue email overnight telling her she can't come in for 14 days and neither can anyone in the year 7 group as the entire "bubble" has gone down or "burst" as they call it.

So my daughter has to self isolate BUT my son is free to go to his school, my wife to work and the same for myself as well. I don't really see how this help anything or anyone.

It's mad that her year group as closed down - I get why. BUT Then direct contact family members with them kids can go about as normal so worst case if my daughter has it (hope not) then myself, my wife and son are now all carrying it also and free to infect other people.

I don't get how this limits or stops the spread the theory behind it is nuts. I understand it's because as a result of 160 kids of school you might end up with 160 households isolating BUT if it's all about stopping the spread then that's what needs to happen - no?

Children are not contagious, their viral load is weak in general so they don't transmit the virus to adults. Anyway stay cautious though
