Effective 1 January 2019, Microsoft Advertising will collect 20% VAT for online advertising services in [MY COUNTRY].
Value-Added Tax (VAT)
For the business location you have selected, billing is managed by Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., in Ireland, and Microsoft Advertising is required to charge VAT on advertising at your local rate of 20% (effective 1 January 2019).
You'll also need to provide your tax identification number (i.e., your PIB) for all existing and new accounts registered in [MY COUNTRY].
Microsoft Advertising cannot provide guidance on tax or VAT. Please contact your tax advisor or local tax office if you have questions.
