Journey into the streaming niche

LE = law enforcement

But ok yea now I see thanks. If i'm understanding correctly with localbitcoin you're just getting people to send money to your paypal, and also it leaves no actual info unless the person themself alerts of the transaction. That's a pretty good method.

I'll probably want to look into an alternate way I can receive money through localbitcoin or some non-kyc site to reduce the risk of a user outing me. For example if the user is doing their own illegal shit (or LE is posing as a buyer) I want to limit the correlation between my business and that specific transaction.

I recently heard about Bisq so i'll do some research into that.

From what I read "follow the money" would still be an issue for you in 2 different ways:

1. If you make a ton of money via bitcoin it would be very difficult to "cash out" and actually use that money without suspicion from LE.

What do you mean? You see, my grandpa, a well known farmer, was a veteran. He served our country in WW2 and Vietnam. But over the years, looking back at what our great nation did to the rice-eaters, he actually felt sorry. It was due to this remorse that he decided to leave everything behind and move to Japan in order to help with the little he could. He then volunteered to be a janitor for a random guy there. He used to see this guy all day in front of computers, and he was always criticizing him that he should go out more often, get a life. So in order to help with that, also due to said remorse, he hired a hooker for this guy to go out with, enjoy life. Little did he know this random guy was actually the inventor of Bitcoin. As a janitor though, you have access to everything in the house: his locker, his letters, his PC, his programming tools, his encryption keys, etc. Long story short, one day, while the guy was fucking the newly bought love of his life upstairs, my grandpa, out of curiosity, decrypted a random file on his laptop which contained the first 1000BTC ever created. He noted down that offline wallet encrypted content, since he thought it's probably nothing (which it actually wasn't at the time), and then moved on to clean some more carpets, since the dog peed on them in the meantime.

Now grandpa only told me this on his deathbed, and with his final breaths, created a cron job to send me some BTC from said wallet, via a bitcoin mixer, on a daily basis. And that's how I got these BTC now, that, if you'll excuse me, I need to cash out. True story bro!

2. If you add ads to your site you would need to sign up to some kind of ad network. If for some reason logs from the ad network gets seized by LE (via subpeona or raided) then they can trace it back to your identity.

But the ad network, or any other monetization would, of course, pay me in BTC as well.

people who pay btc know internet better than 99% else, and they know a lot of streaming site no reason to pay you

I count on these people. They are the ones who are just tired of closing popup ads, and just want a clean netflix-like experience, with movies that will never get deleted, with accounts, favorites, recommendations, remembering where you left off, subtitles, TV casting, reviews, proper info about all movies, professional UX/UI etc., but with a much larger movie DB, and a fraction of the cost. They are indeed the ones who will see the value in it.

PS : You are better off keeping the private site content only for premium users, that way the attention u get to ur premium site will be low & the dmca to ur file hosts of premium site will be low, just my view.

It's difficult to show premium only after the user pays, because it will be based on something like "I promise you it will be premium, trust me". The user has to experience a free trial first, otherwise he'll never be tempted to pay on yet-another-streaming-site. Hence, my plan to allow premium right from the start, with no ads. But maybe I'll find a solution in between.

You cant put ur site there, you can sell btc vouchers or similar like that, ask user to buy that btc voucher & give to u. or anything similar.

You can actually keep tuts to buy btc in your premium site.
- localbtc
- bitpay
- other things u know are safe
- final ur selling site to buy crypto vouchers to give u.

If you place ur site name in selling site, its a direct track to u.

PS : You need to maintain invoices in any method, paypal is like a pregnent women on hormones, you will never know when they ask u some proof of transactions etc. u also need those invoices for tax purpose.

Cool story bro. What I meant was to actually convert the BTC to cash and have it in your bank account you would need to launder the money. If you're up for that risk more power to you. No way you would get away with just saying large sums of money is magically just being sent you.

I can always retrieve them cash via BTC ATMs.
But about a bank account, so you mean that if I win them at BTC casino or via BTC market trading/exchange, then it's normally not allowed to cash out? Or that I need to pay taxes? I would gladly pay taxes, no problem, but I doubt I'm legally obliged to.

But anyway, let me see the first 0.0001 BTC entering my wallet and then I'll worry about that.

So I cannot create a legal side site because it would trace back to me, as the creator of the original illegal site. How? What proof would they have?

Filmxy.nl has membership. There are other streaming sites with membership. I can sell an account to Filmxy.nl publicly online, on ebay. That doesn't mean I am the creator of Filmxy.nl.

Similarly if I create a website to sell accounts, vouchers or whatever.

Also, if I create a buy-BTC site, without KYC - is that illegal? Or are BTC-exchange websites obliged to do KYC? To which level exactly? A selfie of the user is enough? Or does it really need to be the full passport scan, ID scan, proof of address etc./

All this discussion but have you created your site yet?

The techniques you mentioned are very sophisticated and impressive. But like most smart people you have a crazy ass idea. With skills like that you would be able to do so many things.

But a pay site for movies that target people who know how to use btc?.. that sounds like a fail. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Flixify and a bunch of other sites do it legit. There's so much content out there that you can't even watch them all in a lifetime. Plus Netflix price hikes don't even cause people to unsubscribe.

The only way I can see success here is if you target a certain demographic like horror fanatics for example or kung Fu movies. But I think your viewer ship will probably be in the single digits if you're only going to take BTC ONLY.

If you do end up targetting a certain demographic, you best remove the 25% viewing limitation, remove all payments and implement affiliate ads to flix sites that pay you continually until your referee unsubscribes

You'd get way more than 2$ that way.

Yeah honestly I'm not sure how this would work. People would not pay for a subscription site when there are many other options out there, especially if you're new. And especially paying with Bitcoins just makes it even harder.

The site is created. I just have to put it up. That will only happen after I am sure i covered myself well enough based on information that I get from you guys.

Regarding the targeting - that could be an idea. A site per category. Hmm..

Are there options with a clean, premium, netflix-like experience?

There was TVZion which was the closest thing to a Netflix like experience. However that got shut down about two weeks ago. Now I’ve been using Kodi with an add on called Seren. You pay for a service called Real Debrid ($40 a year) to get access to premium streaming links. And then I use a skin called Titan Bingie Mod that essentially mimicks a Netflix like UI. It’s a little bit jankier than Netflix, but it gets the job done. I’m able to watch any show I need with little to no buffering and no ads. IMO very worth it, I’ve had very few issues. It can be confusing to set up so I’d recommend checking out the addons4kodi subreddit as well as YouTube videos

Exactly. That's what I mean. It's totally worth it to offer a clean experience.
My service also offers a Kodi plugin btw, but much better integrated, since there will not be stream selections. Directly into the video experience.

100% agree, streaming Niche massive visitor come from search engine, so that you need to do is SEO to rank your site or to build a foundation to you inner page, in this way when people are looking for related keywords (.... Streaming, watch ...., ..... Watch online) they will found your site :)

Someone made millions of dollars with the same business model (although they took
Stripe and PayPal). You can also see the Jetflicks case which is similar too. There are probably a few hundred thousand people who this idea appeals to and many of them are willing to pay if it is convenient.

Yeah, but he made major mistakes - Stripe account linked to bank accounts on his own name... Come on.. I am surprised he lasted 5 years.

I find this extremely hard to do, if not impossible. Google will soon stop indexing my site because it's illegal, and even if not, the competition is so big that I see it impossible to get on the first page.

But then again, I don't know shit in SEO. If someone know these stuff and can help promote my site, I'm willing to discuss a collaboration.

Update:
The site is flourishing day by day, but i found out the hard way that most sellers on BHW are indian scammers. I've lost countless $$$ on countless of scams. This is a big shoutout to all of them: fuck you!
