Why are automation tools like Jarvee made as Desktop programs and not web apps?
What's the reason for this?

Personally for me it would be much more convenient if there was an web app and not having to download anything on my PC.

A lot of web requests for a website.
Also, you'd be sending your passwords to somebody else.

So just to save money on servers basically?

That and it takes away liability from the owners if something happens to the site (credentials get leaked, site goes down, etc.)

Makes sense.
Then it would probably 10x the price and no one would use it.
Actually no, would be just a few dollars extra per user.

What makes you think only a few dollars?

Here is why I think it will be way more expensive:

- They need to set up/develop the whole platform/website
- They need massive servers for thousands of users, which are making even more actions and simulating browsers etc.
- Definitely need to set up the security correctly for protecting thousands of accounts and their passwords. Keep in mind there will be a shitload of hackers trying to get passwords, etc. of expensive IG accounts and boy they will try it
- They not only need to spend time and money on maintaining and improving the software itself, but also the servers and everything else beside the actual software

At the moment they are only offering the software. They are basically only maintaining and improving the software + some support work I guess.
