Domain flipping motivation

you can still find forgotten 4 letters domains here and there...grab it and sell it for $$$
My first domain was connected to yahoo in the title, sold it for $650 many years ago when the infringement wasn't in. I did make up a name then, it worked.
What was the domain ?

it was yahooanswerzone but nowadays that would be infringement or Copywrite or any excuse for people not to get it

@krishnaverma
What's your opinion on this domain name
Two word fresh domain with .in
.com registered since 1998
.net is 9k plus
.org is 7k plus

I bought my business domain from a guy who was just sitting on it for 4 years for $600

Domain flipping is not easy to make a good ROI.

I’d like to know if it’s easier to make the sale on a domain “without domain privacy” or on one with it.

I sold my second domain on flippa. First one was for 200$ the second one for 650$! I'm very happy with flippa :) And I'm even more happy, that I was able to sell a domain that's less than 1 year old, for 650$.

No, I will not give you the specifics for the second domain. Those of you, that are really nosy, will go through my last posts and figure it out themselves.

I am also going to give it a try. How much I have to pay to list ?

I have many short brandable memorable domains which I registered back in 2002 and 2003.

Don't have any motivation as of now to sell lol.

Sold the weaker ones and covered expenses as well as profit so anything and everything right now is for free.

Which extension?

But now hard to get such .com.
Currently only way is to buy it off from someone else and the price range is anywhere between $5000 to $100,000 depending on the actual name.

And if and when such domains do expire they end up in aftermarket For Example Snapnames etc. Here it goes for an auction and price ranges here are also more or less the same $5000+ minimum for pronounceable, memorable, brandable short domains.

Once you have acquired such a domain you can list it on brandbucket etc and hopefully you will hit a mini jackpot.

I used to buy and sell many during 2002 to 2010 and some I got for $500 per domain at that time. One of them even got sold for $40,000 in less than 2 weeks.

Nowadays I ignore all low-ball or even normal offers as I am not in a hurry to sell. I had one time around 1500+ domains now I have 80 or so that I like.

It's 15$ and they take about 10% of the ending sale. Keep that in mind when you're deciding on how much to charge. The site I sold was not worth 650$ but someone still saw potential and bought it. Fine by me :)
