Am I missing something or does it just take a really long time to get your site listed in Domz? I have submitted several sites almost a year ago and I am still not listed and some of these sites have a page rank of 5 or better.

Who do I have to pay to get listed? I know it is not a big deal any more to have your site listed there. But the fact is I wanted it listed.

Hello Brady,

the problem with DMOZ is that many people apply and many times you may apply in a category without an editor and take ages. Try to apply in categories with an editor but also try to apply in a category that the competition ain't big. Those are two essential IMO. Also as in dmoz sites are checked by individuals its clearly subjective if you are to be accepted or not. One person may like your site , the other no.

Try going to Google Directory and submit again.

Guess what...IT'S DMOZ!

I must have missed when Google took THAT over.

Maybe it was that day last week when they took over the rest of the world it it just blew past me in tech news. :D

PS. Why do you particularly want to be in DMOZ? It used to be more powerful for SEO, but now there are hundreds of other ways to get backlink juice.
