What's wrong with people from 2nd/3rd tier countries ?

$100/day is barely enough to cover your rent, car insurance, and food in some countries.
$300/month is enough to survive in 3rd tier countries.
we make more but we spend more just to survive.

I was reading some threads here on BHW and I noticed one important thing.
People from 1st tier countries need lots of money to live and some are able to make it in IM. They make like 100$/day and that sounds little to them.
People from 3rd tier countries who needs just a bit of money to live can’t make that bit of money and just thinking of earning that on IM sounds like a dream.

What’s wrong with us ?

I mean, I have a day job, I study at night, and in spare time I try to make some IM.
But I just need to make 10$/day at this point to live confortably and I could even quit my job.

There are people who need to make 100$ a day to live in their country and 100$ sounds little to them.
So, what is wrong with us, people from 2nd and 3rd tier countries ?

Are we lazier than them ?
Are we dumber ?
What is that one thing we have to change to achieve those 10$ a day that would make our life financially easy ?

English not a first language and no money. This makes it hard to bootstrap.

If I lost everything, including all my SEO knowledge I could go and write for $3/100 and get enough work pretty quickly to have 5k words a day. 7 days a week that would give me $1k/week. You can live in the UK for $250/week quite easily. Plus here you can just get benefits and hide the online money so you could take $100/week from that money + benefits and save $900-$950/week. Slaving away for 3 months like that and I'd have $12k put by.

Reduce my hours to 1/3 and I'm still making $300/week. I've then got $12k cash to invest + $200/week continuous money. I can go and grab ahrefs, write content for a site, buy pbns, make a course, sell ads. Tons of options.

Even if someone is really lazy and just works in mcdonalds they're still going to make $1500/month and if they keep their expenses down they'll have $500/month cash for things.

If you're in a country where $10/day is a lot, then that means you're going to struggle to make $10/day or $300 in an offline job. Then what's your living expenses? $200-$250/mo? Doesn't give you much to play with.

And everything is in English. This makes it even harder. Harder to get on affliate networks, harder to make sales pages, harder to do videos, harder to sell on the phone. Everything is 100x harder. We have it easy in the UK/US/CA/AU etc.

I think you've misunderstood me ENTIRELY.

Let me rephrase - people always start with the AIM of covering their essential needs.

If I were to start out in a 3rd world country, that would be me aiming for 10$/day
If I were to start out in a 1st world country, that would be me aiming for 100$/day
I got what you meant, I just disagreed that people in 3rd world countries need to only aim at making $10/day.

What If I said you can earn 1000$/ day. Would you suddenly start to change your perspective? After all It's 10x more than 100$/day. I can pose the same questions here. People wanna achieve their most basic goals when they start. Of course, no one wants to stop going for bigger goals somewhere down the line, but how often do you see people at the start of their journeys saying that they wanna do 500$/day?
I actually live by the idea I was talking about. Cutting out small-minded goals to try to only aim at opportunities that will maximise returns on time and investment.

But we're not talking about $1,000 per day which is is significant amount to anyone. We're talking about $100, which many people from 3rd world countries doing IM earn. It's a realistic goal even if you don't believe it is. However I would agree that $1,000 might be quite an unrealistic goal for most people.

There is a massive difference between earning 10$/day and 100$/day. It's not like I can choose one or the other and put the same amount of effort and money and reach them. If I can live comfortably on 10$/Day, I don't see a problem going for it first, knowing that not only is it easier and thus achievable, but it'll help me free up more time and energy for other projects.
And so the wheels keep spinning and people keep posting about not being able to earn $10/per day. But you're right, trying to think in a different way surely couldn't be a potential solution.

There a guys making 1000$/day - are people settling for less making 100$/Day then?
At least you're getting the picture now that it's simply a shift in perspective to acknowledge that others are making ten times more.

Your first thought is "there's no way I could earn that".. my first thought is "what are those guys doing to earn $1,000"?

This is the gist of the argument. If I can lead the same lifestyle for 10$/day in a 3rd tier country, compared to 100$/day in a 1st world, what's wrong with me aiming for that? Are they settling for less, Sure! However, at the end of the day, in their respective countries, they're more or less leading the same lifestyle.
I didn't realise it was an argument tbh, and not sure why you feel threatened by my last post that was just passing my thoughts about this.

For the record though, if you want to live whatever life you want to live and earn $0.50 a day if you want, no problem, have at it. My opinions are just that - opinions. You can completely disregard them without me losing a second of sleep.

What you're saying is like a millionaire coming here and saying that we all got the same amount of time, energy, etc. and then asking why everyone seems to be aiming for pennies.. in his case, that would be 100$/Day.
They would be right and like I mentioned already, you should be asking them questions to try to emulate them, not starting with self-defeating judgements.

It's all about the situation you're in. I've been in both so I can speak from experience.
No it's all about your mindset.

It's why people in wheelchairs with crippling diseases achieve more than the children of hedge fund managers that are born with ultimate wealth. Mentality, and more specifically, the mentality of asking the right questions and overcoming the obstacles other people accept is what it's all about.

If you see the world through the lens of "reality" and "what is possible given the situation" then go for it. I prefer to look at things a different way, as I've explained above.

what do people consider 2nd tier. I have seen companies refer to Sweden Germany and France as second tier. Is it just because they dont speak English as a first language. What do you consider second tier

Sweden, Germany and France are Tier 1.

For me Tier 2 are countries like: Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Mexico, Romania, Poland

Its not about being dumb
Its all about the cost of living
For example here in morocco you will need 180$ per month to rent an appartement and almost 15$/day to live

It's crazy how some people believe that anything related to investment is the issue or reason not to progress.

I personally know few Tier 3 guys who made millions in CPA only, no jokes. One is my IRL friend. They're all from One county only.

I made my 1st bucks (high earnings) with free traffic. I invested in one software only to automate a bit and some accounts.

I've made that investment because I knew what I was doing, it was about scaling at that point.

This is from person to person, no matter of Tier's, even 2-3 could only be more motivated and do more in life, but also they can quit after 1st failure.

It is so individual and this thread OP is a nonsense.

Well, id like to put in my 2 cents.

Ive seen Americans in particular do things online, and the way they do it is just superior. The level of action and professionalism is on another level. Not all of course, but there is something to it. And of course the monetary ability and willingness to invest and do things is higher.

The other thing is that first worlders will always have it a bit easier. They can use all payment processors, all websites, all programs. On many websites their accounts will last longer and be safer and perhaps be more likely to rank for a better audience.

People in first world countries wanna find customers that need articles and hire 3rd worlders to write them. People in 3rd world countries want to write articles :p

These are broad generalizations of course, but there you go.

I, too, believe this to be the main reason:

You(people from third world countries) have less money to invest and are more afraid of losing 200-300$ in testing.

I think thats the main reason.

That being said, focus on how you can, instead of why you cannot.

You have a few choices:
  • Work hard (and smart) and overcome your limitations
  • Be creative and overcome your limitations
  • Partner with someone who has the ability to smash those limitations out of the way
You need:

  • Integrity: if you say you will give 30% to your partner, do not short change him later.
  • Great work ethic: If you say you deliver something, you gotta deliver.
  • Self-belief: It does matter, when you go through rough phases. There will be rough phases.

Assuming you are treating BHW as your primary source, I see that you still haven't gone blue.
If you need to sell here, you need to be blue. You need $97. Why haven't you worked towards that?

Maybe that's not your intention, but let us take that as a case study.
Let us see how you can get that $97.

Option 1: Hard work

Register a Fiverr account. Look at the most popular services offered there. Pick one that you know well enough. Make your copy better than yours. Offer more than what they offer.
I don't know their commission rates, but a Google search shows it is around 20%. So, around 35 gigs @ $5 will get you more than $127.

Use that money, upgrade to blue. Look at existing services, offer a better one - preferably the one you offered on Fiverr. Open a BST by paying $30.

Option 2: Creativity

a) Sell offline or online whatever physical goods and stuff you have to raise $127. Flea markets. eBay. Classifieds. The world is thine oyster.

b) Offer someone your signature space for a year, in return for your Jr VIP membership. Show them this thread, and guarantee them you will post more such threads which spark discussion throughout the year.
Next up, ask them if they can give $30 needed for your BST thread. Offer your services in return.

Option 3: Partnership

Get a partner. Offer them 15-25% your profits for the first year, in return for sponsoring your membership and BST thread.

Important note: Do not violate any BHW rules.

1st world's people don't care money they have backup and enough support socially and financially.
2nd and 3rd world's still they don't have enough money for living, so no way to invest in any project also they don't have any backup support from any financial source, so they afraid to invest and that keeping them poor.

Romania and Poland are closer to being a Tier 1 country than a Tier 2.
Well, many of them come to Germany to work in a factory for a very low salary. It might be true if you talk about the capital cities, but in rural areas there is lots of poverty. I was driving through Romania a few years ago and it some cities and villages they didn't have roads and they were riding on donkeys. No kidding mate

Yeah, definitely closer to tier 2 than tier 1. Tier 1 countries don't have that level of poverty/corruption/poor infrastructure etc.

I feel is all boils down to individual needs, just like your comment, surely others comments likewise from you whereas some agreed with you.
Just like buying a car , you got a Merc but feel is common wanna get a roll Royce better etc

even come smoking, not all cigrattee the same and price the same, some better , some sucks

I feel is about contended .

As someone from 3rd world country living in Europe, I can answer the question.

I can survive on 20$/day in my country but here, I would need around 100$/day for minimum expenses. Reason being that everything is expensive in 1st world countries.

Now you're looking at it the wrong way - Flip the argument/situation.

People earning 100$/day through offline jobs in 1st world country don't care enough when they need to spend 10$ on a domain, 20$ a month on hosting and 300$ on linkbuilding.. at most, the money will be reimbursed in 1 week right?

Someone from 3rd world country can't invest that much money right off the bat.

The barrier to entry is very high for people from 3rd world countries and the same barrier is quite low for 1st world country.

At the end, only people with money, motivation, skills and hardwork can succeed from 3rd world countries while anyone with a 1000$ to spare (not much in a 1st would country) can have a shot at earning with a relitively small skill set.
Described it well.
