What's wrong with people from 2nd/3rd tier countries ?

It's not a matter of blaming someone for having money. There are always going to be people who succeed from little to no investment other than time.

But the majority would find it a little easier on the nerves to invest about $$$ upfront, compared to their 3rd world counterpart.

This is true. But we're talking about setting goals and not going for bigger ones once the initial goal is achieved.

You see, when people start with IM, their goal is to replace their income.. which comes down to 100$/day in 1st world and 10$/day in 3rd.

What happens once that is achieved is entirely a different argument.
Yeah all I would say is that there seem to be a hell of a lot of guys who can't make $10 p/d or are at least struggling to.

So for many, aiming for $100 p/d would ironically actually be easier than getting $10 p/d. Why?

a) if I told you you can earn $10 p/d or $100 p/d, which one are you going to be more motivated for? Which one are you going to push harder for and care more about? Which one are you going to work 16 hours a day for instead of watching youtube videos after 6 hours?

b) if everyone is going for $10 p/d methods, then they're going to be saturated. Not just guys from BHW, but people everywhere. They can see the easy $10 methods, and they think the same way, so they will try those. Meanwhile everyone is ignoring the $100 methods that are unsaturated.

c) if you know there are people in tier 1 countries that have to earn $100 p/d, and you know that they are going for ways to earn $100 p/d, why would you settle for less?

It's not like the $100 methods all have moats around them that Indians, Pakistanis and Africans can't climb over. They have 24 hours in one day, so do you. They have internet access, so do you. They might have more resources to invest, see it as a challenge instead of a reason to stop. Be more creative with the resources you do have. Invest more time if you can't invest as much money.

Mentality has a big part to play.

well its all up to your lifestyle , i am from tier 3 and had done 5k/day but still i think its not enough Xd.
its like the more you will make the more you will need , money will never give you satisfaction trust me :)

How? Affiliate Marketing, CPA, YouTube, or something else?

In my European country I live as a high middle class. Every month my fixed expenses are $1800 - mortgage, fuel, school for kids, utility bills, loan, etc. Around $1500 are monhtly groceries, other shopping and other small personal expenses. Me and my wife earn around $4500 monthly. I also earn somthing from my side/online jobs. I can afford to spend $400-500 a month without any expectations. In the more developred European countries and Northern America these amounts are significantly higher. People from 3rd tier countries don't have that comfort and few hundred bucks is a fortune for most of them. Do you remember how many people on daily basis come here at BHW asking for a method to earn 5$ a day.

You(people from third world countries) have less money to invest and are more afraid of losing 200-300$ in testing.

I think thats the main reason.

Exactly, unless you invest in yourself(learning) , getting the right tools and testing you will be a minnow. Networking with the right people also plays a big part in how fast you can grow.

I am from a 3rd world country here are the main problems in these countries:
- PayPal isn't available so is Stripe so that is a problem if you want to do dropshipping and lots of other stuff are impossible to do since PayPal is widely used as well as Stripe.
- People here make around 400-800$ a month so don't think that they could spare the amount of money to invest in IM that 1st world country people can
- Also in my country at least I don't know about other 3rd world countries, if you try to wire over 3k USD you'll get a letter from the central bank to acquire information about how you earned that money, and sometimes they could even refuse to let you receive that money (happened to a friend of mine, he had to get a lawyer and there was an open case for around 3 months)

It is all about your choice I am in India life is good if I make 300 USD a month and don't spend a penny like my wife.
But, when it comes to me I live a lavish life style. I don't get comfort in normal clothes. So, for me 2k USD is minimum monthly expense
My wife spend little earn little no donation or help to others
I am opposite I earn more spend more feel awesome donating to people in need ( in real life)

By the way I am...

True, but you should start changing perspective that you have enough and that you live abundantly otherwise your life will fly away chasing money?

As someone from 3rd world country living in Europe, I can answer the question.

I can survive on 20$/day in my country but here, I would need around 100$/day for minimum expenses. Reason being that everything is expensive in 1st world countries.

Now you're looking at it the wrong way - Flip the argument/situation.

People earning 100$/day through offline jobs in 1st world country don't care enough when they need to spend 10$ on a domain, 20$ a month on hosting and 300$ on linkbuilding.. at most, the money will be reimbursed in 1 week right?

Someone from 3rd world country can't invest that much money right off the bat.

The barrier to entry is very high for people from 3rd world countries and the same barrier is quite low for 1st world country.

At the end, only people with money, motivation, skills and hardwork can succeed from 3rd world countries while anyone with a 1000$ to spare (not much in a 1st would country) can have a shot at earning with a relitively small skill set.

"I would need around 100$/day for minimum expenses. "

Damn, That's actually a lot even in Europe..

goals are different, but as had already been said, so are risk factors.

If I (tier 1 country, and for the record, I hate saying that, as people are people, no matter where they are from) lose $10, or $100, its a beer or takeaway meal. If someone from a 2nd or 3rd tier country loses that, the consequences are much worse.

Furthermore, while money to me is security, we are more likely to go and get a job here than people from lower developed countries are. I mean, even bin men here get paid £20k+

If you were starving and had the opportunity to take as much food as you want, would you only take a days worth? no.

People who talk about "more money to invest" - it's bullshit. Or better to say: Its an excuse. People from a tier 3 country have a much lower burden. It is extremely easy to earn at least $300 per month if you have little skills, from there on they can totally rely on IM and could spend all day for IM.

What I think is the biggest difference: Quality of work, work ethics, culture, mentality.

Example: This forum here is FULL of information. So many methods. There are guides on how to grow IG accounts, how to do SEO, how to make a streaming website, etc. so many guides. Basically it is spoonfeeding. Still, there are people on here who talk about $5 a day or who never earned a cent.

I agree with everyone who talked about initial investment. When I first started IM, domain, hosting, etc., was not a big problem for me. As a 16-17 year old who didn't have a job, I could do odd work for my parents for small allowance money. This allowance money would be a lot more than what people with full time jobs would probably make in a 3rd world country. All the methods I used to make my first grand or two online was done with only the domains/hosting so there's definitely ways to make money with this minimal investments.

However, people in third world countries find it hard to invest in these domains/hosting to start them off, even though these are the only small investments you need to get started.

I also think there's drive involved as well. If someone is happy making $10/day, they probably will put in the effort to make that $10 a day. For me who lives in San Diego (where cost of living is very high), I'll put in the extra work and dedication to try and get up to $200-300/day because that's how much I'll need to make if I wanted to do IM full time instead of part time while working in a restaurant/studying. All about mindset and working and living in a first world country definitely drives me to work harder, compared to living in a 3rd world country where you don't have to earn as much.

Sorry to double post, but I completely agree with you here. For me, IM is a passion that I really want to do full time and it being the only thing I do to make a living. However, I can't do that because it's too risky for me as unless I'm making $3k from it a month, I can't sustain my life where I live. That's why it will stay a passion for me until I have a stable living and I'll only be able to do it part time until I reach the point where it can sustain me.

I would not start visual studio for less than USD 100 per hour and usd150 minimum for consulting.

So I can not relate but will try.

There's nothing wrong with people per say but some countries have really messed up economy and devalued currency or political situation , war torn , embargo and what not. I hope 2021 will bring peace and prosperity for every one. Cheers.

Yes, my friend got the same problem. In order to keep his living standard and paying his bills he needs at least $2k per month. At the moment he is working 9-5 and he also has other responsibilities: girlfriend, pets, etc. he can't spend 4-5 hours per day just sitting in front of his laptop and learning or doing IM. He could do it for a week or two, but after that he would get a burnout...basically working 12-13 hours per day then.

Also, it doesn't matter if a 40 years old Canadian is starting a blog or if its a kid from India who is doing it. People are mostly equal in the internet, same as on this forum. Basically no one on BHW cares if you come from Spain, India, Japan or the US. The hustle is the same for everyone.

Super interesting topic. BHW is a place where people meet from all over the world.

Being from one of the richest countries in the world, I can sometimes feel bad when I write my journey posts and mention the income I get from my full-time job or any project I'm running. Because in 90 % of the countries in the world, most people would chop off their left arm for that amount of money. But honestly, in my country, you can only live a "decent plus" lifestyle - nothing fancy at all. It's all about perspectives.

The funny thing that I've seen several times stuff like this:

People in tier 1 countries: "I wish I was from a third world country so I could live a luxury lifestyle of what I earn online right now!"

People in tier 3 countries
: "Oh, if I was only born in [tier 1] country, I would be able to get a full-time job and invest in IM projects to create a passive income!".

You always want what you don't have. It's human nature.

On the flip side, I'm not gonna pretend that I haven't been freakin lucky to be born in the country I have. But I'm living a (much) less luxury lifestyle compared to someone that is able to bank in 75-100$ per day in Bangladesh or Philippines.

I think you've misunderstood me ENTIRELY.

Let me rephrase - people always start with the AIM of covering their essential needs.

If I were to start out in a 3rd world country, that would be me aiming for 10$/day
If I were to start out in a 1st world country, that would be me aiming for 100$/day

a) if I told you you can earn $10 p/d or $100 p/d, which one are you going to be more motivated for? Which one are you going to push harder for and care more about? Which one are you going to work 16 hours a day for instead of watching youtube videos after 6 hours?
What If I said you can earn 1000$/ day. Would you suddenly start to change your perspective? After all It's 10x more than 100$/day. I can pose the same questions here. People wanna achieve their most basic goals when they start. Of course, no one wants to stop going for bigger goals somewhere down the line, but how often do you see people at the start of their journeys saying that they wanna do 500$/day?

b) if everyone is going for $10 p/d methods, then they're going to be saturated. Not just guys from BHW, but people everywhere. They can see the easy $10 methods, and they think the same way, so they will try those. Meanwhile, everyone is ignoring the $100 methods that are unsaturated.
There is a massive difference between earning 10$/day and 100$/day. It's not like I can choose one or the other and put the same amount of effort and money and reach them. If I can live comfortably on 10$/Day, I don't see a problem going for it first, knowing that not only is it easier and thus achievable, but it'll help me free up more time and energy for other projects.

c) if you know there are people in tier 1 countries that have to earn $100 p/d, and you know that they are going for ways to earn $100 p/d, why would you settle for less?
There a guys making 1000$/day - are people settling for less making 100$/Day then?

Mentality has a big part to play.
This is the gist of the argument. If I can lead the same lifestyle for 10$/day in a 3rd tier country, compared to 100$/day in a 1st world, what's wrong with me aiming for that? Are they settling for less, Sure! However, at the end of the day, in their respective countries, they're more or less leading the same lifestyle.

What you're saying is like a millionaire coming here and saying that we all got the same amount of time, energy, etc. and then asking why everyone seems to be aiming for pennies.. in his case, that would be 100$/Day.

It's all about the situation you're in. I've been in both so I can speak from experience.

There are a lot of factors in place, many people mention the entry point is higher, so they do things they can start for free, which in itself brings in more money.
I don't think that is related to what you mention about how they are happy with smaller amounts. Its not about motivation or laziness or anything.
Its conformism. Which is a not a pretty word, but the vast majority of people don't think, "Oh I'll make a million dollars a week" As they think this is impossible
(and that's the case for 99% of people) so they think "Okay how much do I need to make to live comfortably?" What amount will make sure I have a roof over a head and don't starve?
So depending on the country is how much they aim for, they don't care about becoming millionaires, they just want to live without struggle.
In my country I could comfortably with $1500 per month (most of my friends don't even make that) Yet if I am not making 10k per month I feel like a failure,
because I want to retire by the time I am 40. Most people are just indoctrinated to work until the day they die and if they have enough to buy a few things per month they're happy.
Its not about a mediocre mindset, just people have different goals.
People from 1st world countries need more money to stay alive so they need to make sure they make at least that.

You're not right at all.

I'm from third country and have days when I make 1k day and wanted more.

If you succeed to make a $10 day you'll want to make $20,than $50 and more and more. It's in human psychology

I was reading some threads here on BHW and I noticed one important thing.
People from 1st tier countries need lots of money to live and some are able to make it in IM. They make like 100$/day and that sounds little to them.
People from 3rd tier countries who needs just a bit of money to live can’t make that bit of money and just thinking of earning that on IM sounds like a dream.

What’s wrong with us ?

I mean, I have a day job, I study at night, and in spare time I try to make some IM.
But I just need to make 10$/day at this point to live confortably and I could even quit my job.

There are people who need to make 100$ a day to live in their country and 100$ sounds little to them.
So, what is wrong with us, people from 2nd and 3rd tier countries ?

Are we lazier than them ?
Are we dumber ?
What is that one thing we have to change to achieve those 10$ a day that would make our life financially easy ?

As far as am concern, it's not a matter of being dumb, bro did you ever compare the price of data here in Nigeria to places like India?, did your network provide ever goes 48 - 72 hours without fucking you up? did you ever have people who are supposed to be self dependent still depending on you?

as at last week Monday my account was totally flat i mean #0 in my savings, and am low on subscription despite that am still able to get money to renew my data subscription and have even spent much more than my mother earns, within llast week till now, but the truth is we never realise our potentials and we are always looking for a get rich quick scheme so we failed to see opportunity around us. and when someone does we become jealous of such people and many might even end up deveoping hatred for them.
