Pinterest traffic is not dead, but Pinterest Boards are definitely having a hard time getting people the boost they hope to get at time of publishing.

Yes sir, also everyone tried to spam there almost 1 year and before it was too much too. Anyway, you can only shopping pins to real visitors, i think yes, pinterest dead for this season.

I have almost 5k clean 3month aged accounts, can i use them at anytime to get again visitors? I can only pin with tokens.

Lol, why are you guessing? I don't mean to be rude but I'm not guessing here.
I'm talking from experience. Data. Facts.
The guessing value is 0.
You are free to contest me and prove me wrong, but from my experience (I'm not using bots), and what I can see people running mass accounts for affiliate marketing are getting constantly shadow banned or their traffic can't go up to 100k months impressions. And what I mean is that I SPY THEM, I'm not talking from forum sentiment.
And even people with 10 million impressions per month show up no traffic at all when you spy their domain with the right tools.
Don't get me wrong, someone is for sure still getting traffic.
I have 2 old accounts out of my 20 that are still getting good traffic.
But for the most, I see a tragedy.
What do I think? What is my guess based on my experience?
1) the spam filter is triggered by first-after photos, aggressive statements in diet, pills word, and other low-quality info content.
2) the spam filter is fucked-up
3) the algorithm is fucked-up
4) they want us to buy ads

what I'm guessing is also from my experience, so, this is not just making it up, in different niches
I know, there is more chance to grow up an account without automatic tools, I'm working on home decorations niche btw
and you know what the situation is like, most people use automated tools for this niche, and I'm pretty sure some niches have the same situation.
that's why I also said here, it's not dead "if you know what to do" if you know which niche is the right target.

Good luck growing your reach organically unless you want to spend thousands of Dollars in ads (and that is EXACTLY what they want). This goldmine has been exploited and exhausted until the beginning of this year when their newly introduced algorithm went live.
Yes, it's almost dead. And this very lucrative business, unfortunately is dead in the water as well.
They have left about 10% free traffic, just as Facebook did years ago.
For years they let the sheep in, then they closed the fence.
Rewarded by the market: try to observe the performance of the stock on the stock exchange since April, when they started to cut free traffic.
You can try every way, but the result will still be that.
And when you also have an account that will start to have a good number of views, they will put a cap.
Only alternative: pay

I don't buy ads, and yesterday I had over 2k pageviews from Pinterest.
The spam filter IS fucked up, you are right. But people running mass accounts for affiliate marketing are... spamming. So the spam filter is working correctly on their accounts.
If Pinterest isn't working for you, and you aren't caught up in a glitch, then you're making bad pins or you're advertising a niche that doesn't do well on Pinterest.
My pinterest account has grown a lot lately. Maybe try being less pessimistic.
