Never had them before in my life, moved into a new Airbnb, woke up at 3am with 3 bites, spend 5 hours searching for them, no sign.. repeat for multiple nights.. contemplate ending it all and burning down entire apartment block. Problem solved.

Going to leave tomorrow anyway, f this. Read that they can come with you in your suitcase, paranoid. Thinking of burning all possessions and leaving completely naked. Also thinking of investing all funds into developing the most painful way possible to torture and kill bed bugs, probably involving acid or a WW2 nerve agent. Warm feelings thinking about it.

I know exactly how you feel. A few years ago I moved into an apartment that I didn't know was infested with bed bugs. Moved out not long after and they followed me pretty much everywhere I stayed. Took me 2 years to completely get rid of them. Those 2 years were complete hell for me, I ended up with insomnia and depression. I wouldn't wish bed bugs upon my worst enemy. Good luck!

Yeah I'm going to probably move to a different place and then if they follow me go nuclear on them with literally every treatment at once. Steam, bed bug traps with CO2, traps around the bed legs touching the floor, any kind of poison that has a 1% chance of killing them, double sided tape on the floor, fumigation.. all at once.

Probably put all of my clothes in a dryer on max heat for 4 hours and steam the shit out of non-clothing possessions while that's happening.

Those 2 years were complete hell for me

Fuck man. How many bites were you getting in one night? I've seen photos of people covered with them. I only got 2 or 3 a night but it's still driving me nuts.

It can really fuck with you mentally bro. It's best to deal with them as soon as possible before it turns into an infestation (they breed like crazy). After many failed attempts of DIY extermination I decided to hire a professional bed bug exterminator. I had them fumigate the place 3 times over a span of a year before they finally disappeared forever. Seems like these little creatures from hell can survive a fucking nuclear holocaust.

Yeah I have everything outside now and in the process of washing everything on high heat.

Yeah I'm getting that impression. Have an exterminator coming now but not banking on it being solved tbh. They said it could be mosquitos.. in a room with all windows and doors shut and locked, where I only get bitten in the middle of the night, and creates big red bumps that hurt way more than mosquito bites and kind of get infected straight away.

If this doesn't work I'm going to a petrol station and buying enough fuel to burn the apartment down then having a peaceful sleep in the ashes tonight. I don't know how you did it for 2 years, must have been some kind of torture bro.

The "exterminator" was a cleaning lady who swept the floor and then sprayed some bug spray. Guessing that's not going to cut it.
