How the f I came up with this? lol

Well, it just happened (almost accidentally)

Here is one profile https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/gmil-mxhmd-mxhsn-alrfx.1420669/

Long story short, some members are using the holes such are likes to fake their BST overall look.

I name nobody out for doing this(jk), but there are many examples of profiles who liked some BST only once or had a small activity, and never seen again.

Some kind of prevention might be: 10 or 20 likes / reaction score will unlock newbie ability to give likes.

Some BST owners are building bot accounts with one-time purpose, to like their own BST.

If nothing else, it is against the rules, but they are doing it 'the smart way' so you can't just flag them for doing it.

They are not associated with the account who gave the like directly, so you can't do nothing to them I guess.

But, if Staff decide to add the limit for all BHW yellow members to not be able to give likes if they did not received at least 10-15 likes previously, then this becomes a bit harder to do, and those bot accounts would become more visible, which should result in account removal, (delete) so likes that came from the account are deleted too.

The bad part is normal members suffering from this action, but it is a minimum one.

just remember a simple rule, a guy with 1 like its just as likely
to pull a scam as a guy with 1000-10000
the measure of a user is not his like score .

Theoretically, all logic is perfect. But practically it is not okay

You may think post likes are nothing.

But there are many people who will get attracted to these numbers of likes. If it is displayed means it has some values. We can't simply ignore it.

well if people are foolish enough to believe big numbers
is equal to credibility , dear oh dear,

The number of likes is not having any positives mean why it is displayed on the profile. Every thread's title is displayed with the view, likes, and reply. You can also have the option to sort the thread display option with the likes.

What is the logic behind that?

I don't think the BHW staff member did it for a hobby.

A simple example of numbers matters is proven through SMM panels.

People will download app which is having high number of downloads and rating.

People will see the youtube videos which is having high number of likes, views.

the best solution is to implement bhw as third party so every payment need to pass bhw. and they take fee.
than every purchase will give review. (so we just need to read the reivew)
this way at least it cost them money doing it.
i though bhw 2.0 will implement this. but it seem it will take more time.

Better to weed them (less than 10 posts and suspicious likes?) out, rather than limiting the ability of a million members to like each other, which is one of the stickiness factors of a forum.

@proxygo your suggestions are welcomed but not good to cover the issue, not at all actually.

+ you are disabling other normal newbies if you give them 5 limit likes per day, why would anybody want that for this community?

My suggestion is to let newbies collect some likes 1st for their valuable activity, and that will unlock the ability for them to like anything, unlimited. (it is the most reasonable way to prevent damage)

Even if bot accounts start doing liking manually each other, they are linked and dead in seconds.

well if people are foolish enough to believe big numbers

People are everything, and they believe anything, and that is not the point of this thread actually.

The point of this thread is ABUSING that is coming from some BST owners, and we can't flag them, but we can stop them with implementing this.

It is against the rules to have multiple accounts or point em to like something and never log again. It is quite obvious who is the account owner.

By the rules of BHW as of now, this is available for exploit, I can make 100 BHW new accounts using a tool and log them only once, like my BST and viola.

With the limit of 10-15 likes received before giving, this 'action' would become way more hard, and leave a bunch of footprints. Those bot accounts would be found and deleted easily.
