Twitter "UNABLE TO FOLLOW" After Following 2000

For some reason when I get to around following 2000 people on twitter it stops letting me follow. I asked this question in another thread and someone told me that the 2000 limit is taken off you have 2000 people following you back. But a few of my accounts have 2600 following and 2500 followers and I'm still getting this message after trying to follow 40 or so people. Anybody know what the problem might be and how I fix it.

i got the same problem running dozens of accounts with twitter adder and using mutuality and i get the same around 2k and stuck. Anyone else have any answers on this. All my accounts have custom designs and landing pages. I could create 1000 accounts and do it that way but i prefer to raise the accounts on my custom ones.

There's no way around the 2000 follow limit. Twitter allows, I believe, a 10% follow ratio past 1800. So, if you have 2000 people following you, you can then follow 2200, and so on and so forth. But until you have 1800 people following you, you won't break the barrier.

I use this script and it really works. For some reason it gets me a lot of followers even if I don't follow back. Jokes and quotes are funny and real people go for that.

They told be unable to follow after following like 750 - I am waiting for the 24 hr mark to hit tonight and try again, I am pretty sure thats how it works. And there's a ratio involved.

Do not mass follow then mass UNfollow - I've had a handful of accounts banned for this.

I feel the same way but I bit the bullet and started making new accounts. The other way to look at it is that there is less risk if you have more accounts. imagine getting in the 50k-100k range of followers with one account only to lose the account?....that would suck.

What he is saying, even after correcting his Ratio, Twitter is still NOT allowing him to follow more.
I have the same problem with one of my accounts, for almost a week now.

after 2000 follows you can only follow 10% more people than you follow. use twitter karma to remove non-followers who do not follow back in bulk
