Website started in Feb of this year.

We have 60 articles in total.

All content is professionally written by native English speaking writers.

All content is between 2k-3k words and optimized for keywords (not over-optimized or stuffed).

All pages are indexed.

Minimal backlinks (we have fewer than 10).

--

We get virtually no impressions per day (5-10 impressions).

On Aug 17-18 we received ~1450 impressions across 52 articles (no major spike for one or two articles).

The days before and days after, we received 4-10 impressions.

*Does anyone have any clue what's going on with this? I know it's a new site, but with 60 long form articles, you'd think we be getting some sort of traction at this point.

I feel due to Google update as usual PER WEEK . Last month Aug is kinda every week Google like doing something

There was an update between these dates 15 and 16, one of your high volume keyword might have bumped to the first page.

Sorry if it was my bots.
He he....
Just checks the stats.

The impressions were spread out equally across 52 pages, there was not any one page that jumped to the top...it's almost as though the entire website started getting traction, then immediately shut back down.

Then it was the effect of google update!

Nice hill!

It can either be an update or your website's authority is rising in search engine's eyes.

Just like when you do this with links. When you inject PBN links into target URL there is bouncing because authority / power got boost suddenly.

@tiiberius do you think this is a positive sign? i.e., should we expect to see more "hills" like this?

Probably a bot crawling your website , or a website scraper

Yes, I'd consider it a positive sign.

What would be even promising would be better rate of these. More orten, and going higher and higher.

That sounds like a fluke, to be honest. It most likely happened due to the Google update. I wouldn’t count on it happening again, but if it does, you should consider yourself lucky. Extra traffic is always welcome.
