Add ezoic ads
and hope to make additional 50$ a month and try to get the site to 300$. Its tough the traffic has quite down past few days.

overall nohthing done this month except some minor design and layout changes.

its ok. Dont buy into the hype.

i am not writting any content nor outsourcing. All i am doing is updating older articles.

I use ahrefs for keyword research but dont use search volume or their kd for analysing.
I jsut looks whats ranking.
no. and quality of backlinks and how well they are targetting the keyword.

mixed is the best i can say
Some werent competitve but alot of competiton have come recently

I am not an expert. This is my first aged domain.

SOme basic checks would be
The domain should'nt have used as a pbn before.Branded Links to homepage from good from authorative sournces not justt high metrics.
The links should not be easy to make. FOr example comment and forums links.
Relvance should be right.
FOr example a dog magzine site can be a site about dog food.

Dont build a site on software niche on pet domain. Most of the time it can work but it will take alot of time for google to shift relevance from dog to software. The main reason i buy aged domain is to cut short the time otherwise i dont see value.
You can stray little bit away from your niche it should be fine.

Lastly. How much you want to invest.
You dont want to invest all of your budget on a domain and have only few pages of content.
IT depends on your budget.
