A little HELP with beating a competitor

So I have run a few of my competitors through nichemarketfinder and backlinkwatch.com...come to find out the scrubs in position 4,5, and 6 can easily be jumped with some good back link work


SO, my question is this:

If I run backlinkwatch.com on the #1 ranked site for my keyword(s)...can I just take the list of backlinks from the report and put them into a tool that will create backlinks for MY SITE on the same sites that link to #1???

This should help me jump the small guys at 4,5,and 6 right???

Link building is almost this easy - but not quite.

You're on the right track researching your competitors backlink profile - but you're going to have to get your hands dirty.

two of the competitors have a combined backlink total of 1,000!
