Submitted URL not found (404) - how to fix?

I've been scratching my head all day with this... I deleted categories and tags from my Wordpress site and now they're displaying as 404 not found.

GSC is showing them as "Submitted URL not found (404)"

How do I find and delete these 404 pages so I can validate fix?

Check backup database if you have one...if you don't have, try your luck on your hosting/vps provider and ask for must recent database backup before you deleted categories and tags

Thing is, I did this months ago :-/ restoring a backup isn't an option to be honest

Than restore website files + database.

hallo, maybe this way can fix it, i think

1. are u still have old (before) deleted category ? if u still have, restore with it and chage category , dont delete it
2. if you did't have database backup (number 1) you can edit each page one oby one to change their category, or of you familiar with sql database, you can edited in sql database and just change some value, and puff.. done..
