Anyone here use their service? I'm on their shared hosting and it's been down for maybe 6/7 hours, my site as well as the cpanel is not accessible.

Their thread has been closed: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/offshore-servers-com-dmca-free-hosting-vps-rdp-dedicated-servers.849987/
Is it gone? Urgent answer needed please,

Have you contacted support? May be a stupid question, but it needs to be asked. The company doesn't seem to be new, so it's unlikely they would simply disappear.

everything's okay. i panicked for no reason
the thread got approved very late

They got attacked with HTTP Flood, lool what a company. They don't have DDoS Protection to protect against that.

I know DDoS Protection can't protect 100% all layers or attacks, but if is HTTP Flood there can be stopped and minimized with Firewall and Web Server Optimization and of course with a good Anti-DDoS Solution.

Can LOIC takedown any website hosted with them or press F5 constantly? Maybe YES and that's not good!

the flood attack was a few days ago, today was their maintenance, I didn't know that so I just panicked :|

Look up "slow loris attack". It isn't as easy as pressing F5 many times though. Any good server can handle that. Slow loris can be prevented afaik.

Slow loris can be stopped, try to attack any IP with Blazingfast or Combahton servers and you will see if you can takedown, or Voxility DDoS Protected IP.

The fault is clearly from the host, if he goes down with HTTP Flood, that means with F5 probably he go down also and that is very dangerous lool.

In 2020 all companies should care to have a Anti-DDoS Solution. Offshore-Servers seems they don't care or didn't get that.

If they receive a LARGE attack, the damages will be HIGHER.
Just my 2cents.

This makes zero sense. If they are a "offshore server" provider, their second priority should be to block/have bandwidth for DDoS. I feel bad for their customers.

Makes zero sense what I said or what they do? Hehehe

For that reason, I always pick up a hosting with DDoS Protected. I don't do blackhat activities, but if I do I should search for Offshore Hosting DDoS Protected.

But in normal situations I always buy and use servers with Firewall and DDoS Protected like OVH, Blazingfast, Combahton (fastpipe.io), javapipe, BuyVM any many others.

These I mention, for me are the best currently on the market, they aren't offshore but for important projects or serious projects is a must have.
