Lost Jobs!! Need Work!! Have work, now what?

Hey everyone. I know my post thread is a bit of bait but I need some feedback.

With the pandemic and so many people now looking for work in my City ( over 30% unemployment before lock down) I thought about starting a jobs website ( evergreen niche).

Do you think it is still a good type of site to start in this day and age with so many facebook groups also out there?

My thoughts are people are willing to upload their credentials where ever they can to get as much exposure as possible.

What are your thoughts? Was thinking of putting adsense on it as I have an active account.

Well..

You can create the website and drive daily traffic by buying a few related facebook groups to fill demand & supply.
Once you have some stable traffic you can adsense it and start profit.

Make a plan for website creation, monthly costs, traffic and all relatable and if you get the traffic improve the platform to have monthly growth.

I know someone who created a Job website but he make it like a facebook profile thing like LinkedIn and he's making some good profit.

I don't know how many people live in your city, but it might be well worth it starting locally.
The following of course all depends on your potential audience size:
You could get in touch with local companies no matter if they are hiring or not. Let them know about your website and your service. If they should face the situation where they actually need an employee they wouldn't want to miss out on posting their job offer on a page with a local audience.
You should probably start by making this free, for companies and potential employees.
You could also share the job offers companies posted on your page in those FB groups you've mentioned, as long as they are relevant ofc.
You could offer job paid offer highligting or even a comission you charge for every potential employee that has been refered through your website.
You could run PPC campaigns (FB, push(very cheap)) locally, reach potential visitors, gain brand awareness and build up a userbase.

30% unemployment sounds like a good potential audience. Even if your citiy only has 10k inhabitants.
You could set your website visitors up with some mini-mini jobs they could do for you online. Filling out surveys or whatever. Those people are partly desperately looking for a way to make money. They would potentially do everything that grants them the opportunity to make some money. Don't spread guru courses please. Even though this is a nearly ideal audience, to promote this rubbish, no one deserves falling for a quadrillion dollar course, that presents them generic YT tutorials on how to set up an Amazon FBA business, without covering the part of the risk of loosing tens of thousands due to bad products within the process of research. (I am aware that I am writing this on BHW, don't throw tomatoes on me, please)

Thank you so much for your input I will definitely look at how to implement everything you say and I am planning on re-investing everything I make for the first year back into the site to grow it as quickly as possible. I am excited to get going now.

Hi thank you so much for all the great advice. It is great what new insights we can gain from different points of view.

My city has 300 000 people but the metropolitan has 1.3 million so I have a big potential market.

I will definitely look into the mini job thing as I would like to leverage other peoples time instead of doing everything myself.

The guru courses I agree with I will never sell anything that I would not use myself and dont want to rip people off.
