Best FREE Chat Functionality on website?

Hi am looking to put chat functionality into my website. I know one service which is great which is many chat and drift. Do you know any service or product that gives free chat functionality. not a chat bot but a manual chat functionality. It would be great if it through Facebook chat as well. Thanks in advance.

I used hubspot for a while. It is pretty good, but doesn't let you know if the person is still there, so you could answer a couple question, then launch into a longer explanation of your product/service only to be met with silence because the visitor x-ed out 3 minutes ago.

I think he meant tawk.to - I have used them in the past. They are free and they work OK. They have a WP plugin. The free account has limits but for a one-man shop it works.

Re: Plain - the best solution that I've seen so far. You can connect it to your FB messenger, WhatsUp, Telegram, and invite your VMs if you have ones. And It's free

I just installed this one and it's nice. You can also install the mobile app to chat with your visitors, there is option "LiveAssist" where you can take over control and to click on your website to help them find something and it's free There is like the option to connect Facebook, but didn't try that option yet.

I just used messenger it has a function to link your website and it automatically shows up on the site that way I only have 1 area to answer website enquirers and Facebook enquirers.
