Is there an easy way to find these? I am currently just looking at googles suggested related searches, is there a tool that makes it easy? I heard SEMrush but don't want to waste money if there is something else that is free. Thanks!

Long tail keywords are easy to find, you just have to focus on it. You may not necessarily have to pay Semrush to help you with that task.

But the reality is that a small investment that many do not make, is the difference.

Ahrefs is the best tool to find out long tail keywords. There are many tutorials previously shared in the forum.

I always use Ahrefs
You just need to enter the keyword & you get a variety of options for long-tail keywords along with the search volumes.

Ahrefs YouTube channel is amazing! They have few videos on that topic

Quora has good ideas

Alternative:

change the order of words
add potentially new words
use google trends to check keyword volume and get additional keywords
use chrome browser (no private) so cookies will allow google to keep suggesting keywords in your niche, and when you add random word 1st, google will attempt to hook it with your niche and provide you a long tail keyword about it

check youtube search
check competition websites and blogs

use CTRL + U to preview their index.html page in your browser, then CTRL+F to bring up the keyword bar and type words such: description tags keywords and you should reach some new keywords, also do this with youtube to see what tags are hot there

Keywords Everywhere or Keyword Surfer Chrome plugins are good

That makes it sound too easy! I will definitely purchase if that's the case.

Yes I was using a combination of Quora and google suggested results, seemed to be doing good but I don't get the search volume that way.

I heard of looking up website keywords, but not youtube keywords! That will probably help, thanks!

Ahrefs is great working. you can use
Yes that seems to be the general consensus, thank you!

You could try using answer the public. Its free and can help you find long tail keywords.

https://answerthepublic.com/

Yeah I have used them then always forget to go back because I run out of limited free searches, thank you. :)

Keywords Everywhere or Keyword Surfer Chrome plugins are good
I just installed Keyword Surfer per your suggestion, it looks great! Thank you for the advice!

+1 For Keyword Surfer, I also use it.
Thank you for advice!

As much as I love SEMrush and don't hink it'd be a waste of money, there's no need to pay for anything. After reading through this thread, there are free options (already mentioned) that will give you a lot of ideas for long tails. With some of the paid tools you might get a bit more data and features you won't see with free tools, but I guess it comes down to your individual need as to what you ultimately land on in your decision.

There are many ways to find long-tail keywords. The simplest one is to type in a keyword that you want to rank for, scroll down to the bottom of the page. And take a look at the “Searches related to…” for that keyword and BOOM you’ll get a bunch of GREAT long-tail keywords that you can target.

9 Ways to Discover Long-Tail Terms
1. Use Google Suggest
2. Use Google’s Related Searches
3. Use More and Different Keyword Research Tools
4. Mine Your Analytics
5. Mine Your Search Query Reports
6. Browse eHow
7. Browse Q&A Sites
8. Browse Wikipedia
9. Steal From Competitors

Google Keyword Suggestion Tool or Keywords Everywhere or UberSuggest

There are ample of websites which can help you in finding long tail keywords such as answerthepublic, ubersuggest, keywordstool. All of them do the work, but you will need to open Google Ad Keyword Planner on the other side to check the search volume of those keywords. Also, don't just jump and select a long tail keyword without proper research, do finalize your keyword only after checking it on Google Trends.
