Large update for The SEO Framework WP plugin today

What does that plugin even tho? I read the plugin page and still it didn't explain what is his function exactly.

Is it something like yoastSEO?

It´s both better and faster then yoastSEO in my opinion .. If you been in the WordPress niche for a long time, you would know what it does, weird question.

I have been using WordPress Since 2013, but there are thousands of plugins, no need to know the functions of every single one. I prefer to put my effort into rankings and get the actual results, that's what matters.

There ain´t thousands of good SEO plugins, wierd that you have not seen it before, since you done this since 2013 ..

Why is it weird? Just because somebody didn't hear of some small plugin, it doesn't make it weird.

Yoast -> 27,218 reviews
Framework -> 246 reviews

As you can see, it is not that popular plugin, and if it doesn't provide some major functionality over Yoast, no wonder I didn't use it.

Look, I have a simple process when it comes to SEO:
Choose niche
Make a website
Publish content
Build backlinks
Enjoy $$

I have 15 or so good SEO plugins I use, and there is no need for me to learn more about plugins. Once the website is created and optimized, I don't worry about it anymore. All my focus goes to content and backlinks. That's what matter for rankings and results.

If you trust reviews from any non technical random users without real knowledge more then doing the technical research on your own, I don´t know what to tell you, maybe take a beginners course on Udemy or something, to up your game after 13 years working with WordPress ..

.

Look, kid, the results are what matter. I have no issue teaching you SEO so you can start to make some real money instead of wasting your time on things that don't matter. Just shoot me a PM and I will be more than happy to help. :)

Haha .. I´ve been doing this since 1995, so you might wanna think a bit who´s the kid here .. =)

I like this @RoiBox guy, he seems to know his stuff.

I like you and your product to, great to have you here .. =)

Hope members will take the opportunity to ask you questions here now, when the developer of this plugin is in the house of BHW.

Thank you for the warm welcome ツ We released the update just this morning and we always monitor forums/social media for any mentions of issues and such.
Releasing during weekends allows us to get feedback from "eager" updaters (like yourself) because only power-users and enthusiasts update websites on their days off.
Since I'm here, I'll try to address some of the things you folks discussed.

@AntiHacker its normal to stick what is working for you, I just wanted to address the number of reviews SEO plugins have. The reason "other" SEO plugins have so many is the fact they ask you constantly using notifications in your dashboard. TSF is around for 5 years, and we did it exactly 0 times. Fun fact: The pioneer of begging for reviews was non-other than Yoast SEO. After they released an update that literally caused websites to disappear from Google (Search for "Yoast SEO update causing google penalty") they got hit by an avalanche of 1-star reviews. To mitigate that, they added popups in users dashboards asking to give them 5-star reviews. It worked. This bug also allowed us (The SEO Framework) to gain a critical mass of users and make this a full-time job. That was in 2018.

Sadly, we might eventually start begging for reviews too, since other plugins are doing it and most users take that number pretty seriously. We just look weak at w.org, your comment just proves that. It is a chicken and egg kind of situation. We don't want to ask for reviews, because we think it is lame, but at the same time, others are getting more users because BFU doesn't care.

Lastly, I want to say that we don't really have anything against Yoast SEO.
They are our competitor, but they play fair... some other, newer SEO tools are doing every cheap marketing trick in the book.

I happily answer anything anyone has in mind. I just don't want to break any forum rules or self-promo too much as a new member.
I'm clearly biased towards my own product.

There has been a large update on the plugin today, performance are even better now.

Read more at: https://theseoframework.com/changelog/4-1-0-grace/

This is the plugin you should use for WordPress, forget the rest.

Well i was checking their features, but i cannot see (apart from maybe being a little more lightweight than others) how it differs from competitors.

Maybe, you could ask the developer @lebaux this question instead of me, now that he is a member here.

It's the only SEO plugin I am using for all my projects.
I found it better than any other SEO wp plugin IMO.

Νο thanks, i will pass.

I was thinking since you started a relative thread and you were arguing without evidence why this is better, you would answer this question.

So your just trolling then .. =)

Its a fair question.
The answer is going to be a wall of text, I'll try to shorten it as much as possible.

  1. Plug & play — we load optimized SEO defaults on activation, I was told it is one of the things blackhat SEO folks enjoy. We also automatically generate descriptions and titles that make sense.
  2. No bs — we don't add nonsense features just for the sake of having more features. It is disease of the SEO industry, making stuff complicated for the sake of making it complicated so you can sell your tool with nice charts, SEO score and 5314 SEO recommendations that have the tiniest impact. RankMath is the opposite and as you can see in their rocket growth, people using WP are gullible. Since we don't have a crapload of crap:
  3. Speed — TSF is the fastest SEO plugin on both backend and frontend (no .js on the front).
  4. Security — as you might know, WP is the most hacked CMS every year. Not only because it is popular, but because of the ancient legacy backward compatibility. WP core is secure enough these days, but 9 out of 10 plugins/themes are absolute ghetto PHP that even script kiddos can leverage to take over your website and turn into spam panini maker. ANWAY, in 5 years of existence, we never had a security issue. Just to flex, we found one in both Yoast and RankMath. The Yoast one was there for 10 years. They have a team of 100 people now, we are 2 guys + family help.
  5. Support — as you can see, I appear anywhere where TSF is mentioned (And my keyword monitoring finds). We are still young enough to care about our users, though my faith in humanity is slowly but surely fading.
  6. No ads, tracking or phoning home. Though we might change that because literally every SEO plugin is making at least 10x more than us.
You can find more at our w.org page, or tsf.fyi.
We released an update 12h ago, so I have to get back on the watch for any anomalies.
MODS PLEASE DON'T BAN ME FOR SELF-PROMO THEY ASKED AND I ONLY LIED A LITTLE BIT.
If you have other question or suggestions, lay it on me.
