[Journey] Read 100 books

While I have my main journey thread up and running, I thought I'd open a separate journey to keep myself accountable for reading. I fucking love reading. Time at university and my day job killed this habit.

Now, that I have more time - I picked up on my habit. Less Netflix and more books in my free time. I'll update this thread once in a while on what I am reading and what I think about the book. I sometimes read, sometimes listen to audiobooks.

Nice! I'm trying to hit 100 audiobooks in a year, so a similar goal. So many good ones, it's hard to make any helpful suggestions, but here are some that I've gone through recently that have been awesome:

think and grow rich, richest man in Babylon, think like a rocket scientist, your first $100 million, psycho cybernetics, STORY by Robert McKee (if youre into copywriting and selling with story - geared towards book and movie script writers but same principles apply to compelling sales script), anything by Jim Rohn and Seth Godin

I have read 18 books (audiobooks) this year so far and it's already more than what I have read in my entire life until I started. I will have to re-read some of them to make sure I fully grasped everything these books had to offer.

I really don't know. I am not gonnna set a deadline and pressure myself. This is not work. This is something i do for pleasure.

Yep i too mix up reading with listening to audiobooks. Richest man in Babylon is definitely on my list.
I started reading "think and grow rich" years ago and gave it up in the middle. Maybe i should pick it up again.

A few good books I would recommend :

• 12 rules for life (J. Peterson) about well, life, in general
• Thinking fast and slow (D. Kahneman) about cognitive biases and how our mind works
• Guns, germs and steel (J. Diamond) about the real reasons "it is what it is" in History eg. why did Europeans invade America and not the opposite ?

well worth the read

I can suggest a lot more but that should get the ball rolling !

Unscripted:
Finished around 80%. It is a good book.
There is a bit of rant in the first few chapters. About 9-5/ and how we use temporary stuff to distract ourselves aka "The scripted life". I call it a rant coz I had already quit my day job when I picked up his book. It might be entertaining for someone else though.But I'd still give 5 stars. Coz the second half is very eye-opening. Especially about providing value. Probably too real for our BHW audience.

The Rational Male.
This book is like the bible of "Red Pill" lifestyle. This was recommended by r/TheRedPill subreddit. If you are picking this up, try to have an open mind. Coz for the average person, this may sound very anti-feminist and sexist at times.
I'm still around 40% and so far loving it.
