I read somewhere that the us govt might stop the deal between these two to happen, not really sure. Hopefully it doesn't get banned, they pivot the path for tiktok and get it out in whole world again.

If microsoft buys it, i think they'll be able to solve the content issues as they're quite good with ML/AI but data collection isn't going anywhere if they buy it hehe data collection would probably increase in hands of MS.

I guess a relevant question would be whether or not Microsoft would continue sharing the collected data to the Chinese Govt. or if they would close that loop hole / backdoor.

I also wonder if all of that prior collected data is part of the purchase agreement. If I was Microsoft I would totally want anything and everything then close the Chinese backdoor.

All that TikToc data has to be pretty valuable.

Pretty sure if they buy it would be with all the rights to the US/Europe Market, meaning they would have total control and not have to share anything.
This data policies becoming a huge deal everywhere to keep supporting this data sharing behavior like it once was

They destroyed skype. Does he want to destroy TikTok ?

IMO skype become unestable in Linux after they purchased it.

Mixer was acquired by Microsoft at a very early staged, when it was nothing yet, this time they are buying an already well polished and trending platform, just hope they dont glitch it as they did to Skype

Yep, it's what I am expecting to see. Not on Instagram / FB level though.

We'll have to wait and see, but Sep 15 is the deadline
