Going for SEO packages but need some advice first

So I am planning get some SEO packages for an 8 years old e-commerce website.
I have completely stopped all SEO efforts at least 5 years ago after I found it too expensive and did not get the results I expected.
The site has been live all this time, and basically just about breaks-even.
I would like to give it another go through SEO packages offered here.
How should i start the SEO efforts again?
Should i get large packages for my homepage? Could it be regarded as spammy, if done suddenly?
Is it better to get smaller packages for my category pages? and continue to get packages regularly?if so how frequently?
Go all in, or build gradually, what would you recommend?

Before you go and drop a ton of cash on backlinks and such. You might want to look at other options. what I’ve seen many successful e-commerce sites do is have a blog with tons of high quality posts. This bringS in tons of targeted traffic that should convert to some sales.

My advice would be to invest in 50-60 high quality posts to help boost your ranking and get some good organic traffic going.

I cannot speak as a pro, but I can speak as a customer: I have seen this a lot. bringing in targeted customers by providing valuable information and sneaking in the relatable service at the end.

I mean that you are better off buying 1 link on a good website for the price of an SEO package.

if you have an ecommerce site, I would recommend to set its onpage first....you can outrank competitors by simply optimizing onpage...
also for ecommerce site, i would recommend on focusing "size of site"..it can do wonders for rankings

Content is the key to success. Give powerful links to Sub pages than main page. Interlinking Main page to Sub pages will give some good effects.

Thank you for your advises, I'm not sure if I can afford 6 to 8 months of continuous investments, as this is not my main business and my other business is suffering from covid-19, but I will certainly give it a try.

Thanks for your feedback, have lots of keywords, some are very high and some are not. might focus on low competition to begin with.
unfortunately years ago my domain was banned from adwords, due to a violation of something i cannot even remember.
