Why is this pinterest sub-forum so dead?

Pinterest is a huge traffic source (potentially although it is indeed hard to crack!) why does hardly any marketers use it? yet twitter is always hordes of new guys working on that and saturating it.

Maybe it is because pinterest is harder as a lot of times I asked guys if they did pinterest and they say 'I did but gave up'. Much easier to start spamming twitter (which I also do!). Pint is very frustrating for me too compared to twitter but I am still trying. Shame there aren't more guys to share ideas with pint as the successful guys seem to just keep quiet.

everyone just using bots tho, and then spamming everything

I don't even see that? I don't see anyone using even bots for pint. Hey don't shit on bots, I write them! it takes a lot of work buddy. :)

But ye the guys who just buy massplanner or jarvee or whatever and press play are what kill methods.

As an aside, are Quora upvotes that important for ranking? I often see answers with lower number of upvotes outperform ones with a higher number.

Pinterest NOW is a completely different animal to what it was in 2016 when I started marketing using their traffic....MOST people still enjoying success with the platform are using custom created bots, and keep their methods guarded, as by sharing them the chances of discovery increase exponentially....

It's just a case of test, test and test again....

Totally Agree with this..

I think many of us are getting frustrated to play with pinterest as I am right now..Pinterest are now smarter then ever..
One of my accounts use a different OS, different IP, still, it's shadow banned..It's the 3rd account that has been shadow banned last month..
And now, to be honest, I don't know how to prevent shadow banned...
I think many people are experiencing this..Once your account is suspended/banned..It will be really hard to not get caught...Really...

How do you determine a shadowban?

I had 100 accounts that were bringing 300 traffic per day to my site but went to like 30 per day but other people said it was because the update in June just prioritized some story pins or some shit and also punished scrape content (I was only scraping other good pinner's pins from search so 100% scraped).

So how to tell the difference between shadowban and some unique content penalization?

Simple...search your account id on pinterest search..If you can't find it..So it's shadow banned..
Or, you can check it using a tool..just google it..Use keyword "pinterest shadow ban checker"..

I really don't know where to begin with testing stuff with pinterest as the algorithm is so alien to me compared to other social platforms.

Can you offer any hints one my current issues:

1. content that pinterest will like that can be automated.

and

2. how to get views - currently anything I post just gets the dreaded - on the analytics view count for every pin or 1 view if I am lucky!

Ok I checked and no mine are not ghosted, the one I checked at least shows in search bar. My issues must be different.
