If they are making money, they haven't done an easy job. I'm sure they all have struggled to reach that point and so do you have to do the same if you want to earn from youtube (or anything basically).

The thing with youtube is that you have to work extra hard on it. so you have to have solid idea or a concept that you can work day and night to gain more followers and views. It's not going to be a short journey and it's going to take time.
