Weird rise in direct visits?

In the last week or so, I've noticed a weird rise in direct visits that are straight to the landing pages of my articles, not the homepage.

It's definitely not natural as you can see on the screenshot below.

What can be the cause of this?

These are direct, not referral visits mate.

I'm ranking for all of the pages that are getting the increased direct hits. There's one page getting 90% of that traffic.

sorry, I didn't check numbers before. probably a bot visit. should be crawlers. have you enabled Cloudflare?

Could be Google Discover? Check search console for an increase in Discover clicks.
